I'm really excited to see that movie because from what I've gathered from the preview it's going to be wonderful and something you wouldn't expect for a model to do. To me it seems that Gemma will be the type of model who will transition into a serious acting career rather than just taking on glamor roles, if that makes sense.

Oh and she's incredibly lucky to be working alongside Toni Collette!

in my opinion im not sure how she will translate to movies because her look is so unique, i cant imagine her being cast in normal american movie roles because her look isnt very versitile in movies, i mean can you picture gemma as like kristen dunst in marie antoinette or like sandra bullok in speed lol?? i dont know, maybe im wrong...as much as i would LOOOVE to see it!!

i think if she is good enough and they don't make her too pretty, she can get some roles.
i know when i wanted to be an actress, i had a hard time because i looked too "model-ly", so the only things offered were to play a model or be a stripper. Sucked.
However, if she gets good roles and she isn't afraid to get ugly, I think she could in the same way Milla Jovovich, Charlize Theron etc made the cross over.

Set in the early 90s, The Black Balloon is a story about fitting in, discovering love and accepting your family. When I took Driver's Ed you had to take off your shoes if you wore flip flops. I certainly hope it isn't illegal.
