Gemma Ward

With regards to her "quitting": the article I read said that her agency's statement was that she "hadn't committed to returning to modelling any time soon". This, to me, doesn't mean she quit, just that she hasn't signed anywhere that she'll be clocking in on a particular date. The whole "quitting" frenzy bewildered me a little, since that clearly wasn't what the agency said.

Media, and all that. ^_^

I can't even imagine what will happen if she won't return....
I can imagine an angry mob of people from around the world suddenly appearing in NYC to hunt Gemma down :evil:

Well I'll be in:boxer::boxer::boxer:

I am a little worried that if Gemma does return to modelling then she will be the big thing for about 1 season and then everyone will loose interest and she will just fade out. I don't want her to ever have something like Heatherette as her biggest show at fashion week. I just want some more candids and maybe an ed thrown in every so often for a chnge:lol:
Why is fashion so fickle!

^If Gemma doesn't return, and decides to to make a comeback in a few years - forget it. There's too many up-and-coming models out here that the fashion world would forget about Gemma. Thats a harsh reality. But I seriously doubt they would ever completely forget her.

I also have a feeling that if Gemma does not return soon her look won't be in trend as it has been for a while now. The industry will move onto something new and different

Does someone have the HQ of this cover? Because I have been wanting to see this in such. :) TIA! :flower:

grrr I've seen this cover somewhere but I cant remember where exactly! I have the spread but not the cover! :doh: Should've saved it.

That's the cover that made me fall in love with Gemma. I saw it at Barnes & Noble and had to do a double take.

I started reading Sophie's blog lately, its quite interesting too...there is this article of her and Gemma's road trip on it

Do you think so ? I think that her beauty will continue to fascinate us even if we don't see her in catwalk or beauty's campaign. She will remain our Gemma with the baby doll face. Look, it's been two years now since she doesn't do any modelling business but we still talkin' about her and waiting for her to come back. During those two years we've seen many and many up-and-coming models and still care about Gemma.

I don't think so. Gemma has made such a statement in runway - even my old fashioned parents know her. She's probably the only runway model that all my indifferent-to-fashion friends can identify. She's a legend, and if she ever does make a comeback, I'm sure she'll be skyrocketed with popularity! :D

I agree. Gemma's so unique, and so recognizable. I'm positive she's not going to be forgotten any time soon :flower:

Everything you said is completely true. How come we haven't forgotten her yet? Because she is a special kind that will always be remembered in fashion as one of the greatest names. When I hear Gemma, the first thing that comes on my mind is a doll. :wub: And even if she doesn't go back to fashion, we will always have a plenty of her work to admire at. ;)
