^^^^Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! My coworker just found a vintage chanel bag at a consignment store for $25, she brought it to work today to show me. Just skimming that ebay page, my excitement is steadily growing I got to work and immediately examined the bag....it looked real. So I came here, and looking at the pics on this page, I think her bag is real!!! Its an off-white quilted lambskin chanel bag, its like the 2.55 style but the same is slightly different, the corners are cut off....its not square like the 2.55. OMG! I'm going to read this entire page right now!!

Okay, it's been confirmed, her bag is fake. The zipper is wrong, and the stamp on the gold CC hardware doesn't say cc or chanel, its different. But I have to say, other than those two details, its a VERY good fake! All the details were right except, those two. I even speculated that someone had replaced the zipper. But the stamp on the cc turnknob closure isn't a cc, I don't know what it says, I need a magnifying glass! Oh well....it was exciting to think that it might be real.

yeah. i agree with foxinthesnow
chanel has so many different styles now and they never exactly kept the hardware/details the same, (unlike LV) so its really hard to verify chanels authenticity.

It looks vintage (80s im guessing) to me. However, there might be something similar to it in the current range, you could always try a Chanel boutique.

It looks to new to be vintage. The leather is smooth as a babies bottom! I definately had not seen that style in the last few years, but some bags come and go faster then I can see them. Sorry I couldn't help more!
