i am looking for the name of a chanel bag that was limited edition.. its more of a casual bag... it comes in the shapes of plain tote styles. i remember seeing black and light pink. it has the chanel logo & chanel written all over.

id really appreciate anyone who knows what im talking about! =p

Where can I buy authentic chanel handbags & wallets online?

I'm nowhere near any chanel boutique or actually nowhere near any malls at all. So my best option is always to shop online. Anyone knows where I can buy authentic chanel handbags specially wallet (lambskin chanel wallet)? I know theres ebay but I can never be sure if it's authentic even if they say on the product that it is... never shop there before. Help will be appreciated.. thank you in advance!

Or you could check Chanel.com and place an order via telephone (Chanel has a 1-800 number) and have them send it to you.

ok ladies today i found a vintage chanel bag but i am not sure about authenticy, its real soft leather black and has the CC on the front popping out. on the back its quilted. it has the tassled zipper thing with the gold saying CC on it as well. it has the chain leather strap so cute! and on the zipper is says YKK. BUT on the inside there is no CHANEL markings its just blank. i wonder if it got rubbed off? Its real leather. Also i was at the Flea Market before and this lady sold real vintage louis vuittons, Chanel and on the Chanels the inside didnt have any markings either.... what do you think?? should i post pics??? thanks girls

I don't think you can necessarily judge the older bags by interior markings, because those things do change a little bit over time. For example, a 30 year old chanel is not going to have a hologram sticker. They are not all uniformin their markings.

From my experience, you can IMMEDIATLEY tell a real from a fake chanel by the weight of the bag. A real one (at least a VINTAGE real Chanel) will have some heft to it. I've been in the company of both fake and real Chanel and even the better fakes are instantly recognizable when compared by feel.

I had a fairly old 2.55 large size flap bag and the thing weighed over 3 pounds empty. The chain itself was weighty. The leather was very heavy duty. it was very obviously high quality. The fake I got tricked with looked good in pictures, but was nothing like the real thing in person.

I'm sorry to tell you this but that looks a little too shiny to be leather just from looking at that pic. maybe it's more matte in person?

the shine on that looks exactly like the copy that I bought a couple of years ago. it was reaaaallly soft, but it was pleather.

I called a shop in Munich and they said it won't be sold any longer in Europe. Maybe they still sell it the USA, but I didn't call yet, so I don't know. If you go onto Chanel's website, you'll get the US 800 number. Call it and they'll be able to tell you if any chanel boutiques within the US have that bag in stock. If not, there's always Neiman's, Nordstrom, Bergdorf's and Saks. Don't buy a fake as they all look terrible and they're supporting terrorism as well as child labor .

Im sure maybe London boutiques may still stock it I dont see many carrying one, only fakes.

Hi everyone, I bought my first ever Chanel bag (a black caviar quilted flap in the medium size, silver hardware) about a month and a half ago and in that time, the strap has come apart in two places. I wish I could show pictures but it's easy to explain what's happened: the stitching in the strip of leather which weaves in and out of the chain has come out at both its ends, meaning that the leather strip is free to unravel from the chain.

If I pay £850 for a bag I don't expect this kind of thing to happen. I would take the bag right back to where I bought it (the Bond St London boutique) but I won't be back from university (in Scotland) until mid-December. I could post it down to them to get it fixed or replaced, I think. But what I really want to know is, has this happened to anyone else? Surely these bags are supposed to be brilliantly made and not break within such a short space of time? I'm rather disillusioned to be honest. Any comments?
