Giles S/S 08 London

hello you (acid) ;)
sorry had to dash off ot get a cab before anyone else!!! (snapped one before jefferson hack)

love as always.... the bambi dresses with the cut off heads and squirting blood were a little grim but i almost have to say my favourite
i have no words because there ARE no words to describe him; he is a genius!

What are you guys talking about??....What a load of clunkers.....only he can make what are supposed to be soft, romantic dresses look heavy as iron....really disappointing.....

^ yea its tricky enough to get a cab from there at the best of times. i had a car waiting
i hope we can meet up before u go home xx

the bambi print was a bit strange, but the rest of the collection was stunning, the fabrics, the cuts, the aplique, the techniques, it was truely great

Reminds me a lot Betsey Johnson this season

Very interesting! I like most of the pieces so far...very fairy tale!

The music is great, especially the first song. The second song was used in Dior HC SS 07 and I've always wanted to know the name of it, too!

That song is by This Mortal Coil and it's called "Another Day" I believe.

they might look heavy as iron but i still love them. who else dares to create a dress with flowers made of latex and it looking great?
im tired of plain and boring. this is totally wearable and i cant wait to place my order! :)

Leyla do you know who made those stunning little hats?

Loved a lot of this actually. The hair, the dried leaf textures on the dresses towards the end, the violent Bambi printed prom dress.

Some of it was too sweet and too frou frou to possibly work, and a lot of the shapes and colors were very, VERY Betsy Johnson looking (not just this season, every season).

My main problem, it was all party dresses with a few tunics thrown in. For a 30-something look collection that's unacceptable in my book.

miss,
im pretty sure a collab between stephen jones and swarovski as they are sponsors but possibly also himself as he really makes those rubber flowers in his studio :)

I really love what it is shaping up to be! Like many people said, it is very LV SS07/Givenchy, but I also think it has a bit of it's own neat style to it. ^_^

still, the first dress looks like the prom version of this one from Givenchy couture s/s 07
i thought the exact same thing.

it's a little too betsey johnson, but on a much more interesting level.. seeing how it is Giles Deacon :D

Hi Leyla, :D

Chanel did some acessories for their couture line few seasons ago made of plastic / rubber, amazing and ultra sleek black roses... this isn't new at all.

I don't think this collection bad , but not brillant either. Giles is a fashionista label, if you have attitude and a model body (i'm sure you have!) perhaps it may look very good on you... but i don't think it look good in most of real girls out there as it may "read" sort of Betsy Johnson style, which IMO is quite tacky! Also i have problems with his manufacturing, IMO a proper garment should be beautiful inside out and I don't see this quality on his label.

Definitely one of his more intriguing collections, judging by the few images I've seen thus far. I look forward to viewing the collection in its entirety.
