hmmm, reminds me a lot of his S/S 2005 collection, is this the 'much talked about' show from Paris? Disappoints me.

thanks for the pics! i do like the collection, but it really looks like more an adaptation of his pret-a-porter.....but maybe i just expected something else.....
overall, very wearable couture collection, very armani, very nice!

i actually like it apart from the 1st dress posted. the fabric selection is marvellous

one thing av noticed though is that it seems almost impossible for women with big busts to wear most of this pieces. What do y all think?

It does look like his ready-to-wear. Maybe it's just made better, if that's possible!

i desperately tried to find more pics of the show.....no results, yet!

thanks for the pictures lost in nj...i do like the most recent blk dress posted..
but overall it's not very remarkable...

urban...i absolutely agree about the fabric and the materials used...you can just tell how lush it is...but the designs are boring...imo...

i guess i'm glad for him that he got to work without the budgetary restrictions that apply to RTW...but he really didn't take advantage of the creative freedom that couture can provide...

i mean...after all these years designing...for his first couture...is this his fantasy???...he must not have a very active fantasy life... :ninja: :innocent:

i think penelope would look great in some of those dresses...

It's excellent for the red carpet, which is Armani's big thing, but I don't know why but it just feels outdated, very 80's, I just don't feel it. The silhouette is great though, very sexy, he should have left out the hats and accessories, they are to blame.

unexpected

One can see the great craftsmanship on a few of the pictures "Armani style". But have to agree it being his first Haute Couture collection
 it seems to be a very unimaginative presentation or playing it safe ....

Still, stillhere, I love it...and it's better than I expected..
