I very much disagree with that....She is in every ad, in every ed, in every show...it's amazing....when people will start wondering, hey I''ve seen this grils, what;s her name? that's when Daria is gonna hit permanently and push Gisele of her throne....That moment isn't far I think

I dont know. EVERYBODY I know, know's who Gisele is. Nobody (for the most part) knows who I am referring to if I mention Daria. They MIGHT recognize a picture of her, but Gisele has had so much commerical success. Between VS, SI Swimsuit, dating Leo.. etc. She is/was exposed to the entire country. Daria doesnt have that appeal right now. Maybe later on in her career, but I dont see it happening in the near future..


Anyway, I like the cover. Anybody have scans of the editorials inside?

to be fair, daria is a huge hype in the fashion world. she has not connected beyond the fashion circle & she will not, I believe.

gisele is obviously the most famous model since kate moss [kate is still far more famous on a name basis, although gisele's face is extremely well-known worldwide. ]
the TRUE measure of fame is NAME RECOGNITION. kate moss is far more famopus by name than gisele is.

the area in which gisele is failing is her attempt to do something, ANYTHING, beyond fashion. her acting effort failed badly, and her VS choice damaged her high fashion level forever.

say what you will about kate moss, she is STILL at the ultimate heights of fashion more than TEN YEARS since reaching that level.

despite her many fans, gisele is NOT on that level. kate moss is the greatest model ever, or at least since twiggy.

gisele is just the most famous girl for the last 5 or so years. she is NOT kate moss, and will never be. her career has been badly managed compared to kate's

daria is already over-exposed in the business and she does not have "IT" in any way to be gisele or kate level.

imo julia and winberg are the obvious successors to gisele, but I hope they dont crash & burn as fast as gisele has.

btw when maria sharapova wins a few more big tournaments, she will be as famous a model as kate or gisele- in fact her name is already more famous than giseles worldwide, 8 months after wimbledon.

it may pain gisele's fans, but maria sharapova will surpass gisele's worldwide fame by summer, they are almost equal right now.
a sports superstar is more famous than a model in almost every case. maria is 17, she has 10 more years of tennis success & modelling. anna kournikova is not as good a a model as gisele but she is arguably more famous worldwide. maria will surpass kournikova exponentially.

Why does everyone seem to think that all models are trying to take Gisele's so called spot at the top. There is room for all of them if it wasn't there would only be a need for one model or a few models who look just a like. Daria and Gisele are completely different they are both working and will both continue to work I client isn't going to pick one over the other because they are so different.

WOW, i really agree with everything that you've said. If not for this forum, i would never recognise Daria. No doubt i've seen her many times in magazines, but she doesn't capture my attention like Gisele.

you may or may not be aware that the test of fame in the media & ad world is 'name recognition. '
obviously we all know 'gisele bundchen'"s name. you'd be very surprised that most of the world DOES NOT know that name.
it may also surprise you that 'anna kournikova' is a more famous name & model than gisele. not in fashion, but to THE WORLD.
within the next few years, maria sharapova will surpass anna kournikova as the most famous model in the world.
maria has already had an edit in italian vogue; and a feature in this month'; US vogue.
I know no one here will ever understand or admit it, but kournikova IS more famous than gisele, and maria is set to surpass kournikova within months.
gisele has never done ANYTHING as notable to the public as maria's wimbledon victory, an event of worldwide note. [compare gisele's tiny part in a horrible movie 'taxi'- the world did NOT notice- it IGNORED gisele.

I know the truths I speak about gisele's limitations are painful & heretical for everyone here to hear.

Personally I don't see the big deal about her. She's beautiful but so are lots of other models. I guess I just don't see that special "something that other people see. When she was younger she had sort of an innocent, unique look to her:
