To think that kate moss rose to fame circa 1992-93....and is still as successful as she wishes to be....still high fashion 12 years after.

I am curious to see if giselle is treated the same by history as kate....

giselle herself claims shes retiring by 2006. not sure if thats true.

IMO giselle will not have the longevity that kate moss has. I also do not feel that giselle's voluptuousness will be seen as important as the waif/smaller/distinctive look that kate pioneered. imo kate gave us gemma and stam and heather & lily so many other distinctive 'personality' girls that would never have been 80s supes.

I place twiggy & kate side by side as the greatest models in history. despite giselle's current omni-presence/omni-potence & fame, I in no way think that she will be viewed by history as the greatest model of anything. what did she pioneer? melon-sized breasts for victoria's secret? I see no great legacy for her impact other than current popularity as a mass-market fashion face/object.

Comparing Kate Moss and Gisele Bundchen is comparing apples and oranges. They were both a different look in a time when every model had a certain look. Except Kate had the thin, waify look in a time when most models had Gisele's sexy bombshell type of look and than Gisele came along when most models had Kate Moss's waif look.

And they have BOTH stood the test of time for a model.

Gisele was much better looking in her early years, before she traded her natural Brazilian beauty for the over-the-top fake blonde bitchy look (ala Victoria's Secret, where she almost always looks hideous to me.)

Also? Her boobs? So, so, so very fake. Have you ever seen her walk runway in a swimsuit?

I don't think you can realistically call gisele in 2005 the 'best or biggest' model if she doesn't work any shows.
and if/when VS has a show, that's not anywhere near the calibre of a jacobs or dior or D&G show.
as for her breasts, most brazilian models have surgical enhancement, and gisele is definitely one of them.

Gisele can certainly walk... she can definately move... she has the best hair and a knock-out body - though i do hear from industry insiders they are fake...

most of those girls on the runway are too boring - eyes wide open, boring walk, zero personality... no stage presence at all...Gisele has some striking features and she can look knock out gorgeous pretty or severe depressed junkie - she is versatile

Gisele isn't the best supermodel (sorry i reserve that title for Kate) but she is pretty damn fabulous

Excuse me but isn't her father a plastic surgeon!!!!! Well even without the boobs she would be something so I shant hold it against her. Also in that catwalk picture where her boobs are "circular" she is wearing a really mega push up bra so that doesn't confirm anything. These old photos however do because you just cannot go from this to that with the help of a bra

No, her dad is not a plastic sugeon, but from what I've read, more people in Barzil have plastic surgery than anywhere else. And I don't think naturally large boobs look that circular, even with a push up bra. For one, Tyra and Veronica Varekova never look that circular/round.
