it was so incredible to see Gisele at the FNO event. i'm glad that she is getting all the mad respect that she deserves. the woman is an icon! and the mayhem surrounding her and the attention her mere presence attracts, it's just awesome, in the truest definition of the word.
the story about Naomi and Gisele being the only 2 models with their own dressing rooms, and the only 2 to come in for a lone rehearsal -- i think this is a testament to the fact that Gisele is finally truly ranked among the greatest SUPERMODELS of all time. Naomi Campbell has been in the business for 20 years. she was a bonafide supermodel when Gisele was a kid. she is an unarguable icon. and the truth is that Gisele is the only model to come out in the past 10 years who is on that same level. really, it was the "supers", then Kate, then Gisele. as much as we all love Natalia or Daria or KK or Adriana or whomever, they're just not on the same level. and i don't think it comes down to sheer looks or charisma or sexiness. i think to be GREAT, like Gisele or Naomi, you have to have the most insane work ethic. you have to work your *** off. you gotta be constantly involved and advancing your brand and versatility. Gisele has done all of this and sincerely deserves to be where she is now. i'm proud of her!
