For me, victoria secret = Gisele, or at least the other Brazilian clones. VS wont be the same without her. i can think of better lingerie manufacturers, but what distinguished VS from others was their awesome models and catwalk shows...

The brand, no. But the shows, yes.
The ratings have been steadily dropping for years and without Gisele's star power the drop will be stiffer I think.
However, they both can live without each other.
I think this is great news. Hopefully now she will drop the bleach and the tan. And those who say she won't get any more jobs haven't been flipping through a fashion mag lately.

So, do you think an actress like julia Roberts deserves 20 million a year? Why is that actress deserve more than models? All of them show their image for a living and Gisele's image sells, the same with kate Moss... the same with all the other SUPER'S we had in the past

I compretely think that if we valued the models more we would have a hole bunch of Super like in the 90's... and Gisele has always been known in the industry for being punctual doing a hell of a good job (they say she even know how many frames left in a roll of film there are- she counts then as she is being shoot) and being fun to work with...

But that is just my opinion, I really believe we should value them as any other image driven profession!

ARE YOU SERIOUS? i don't care if it's 5 or 12 million. 5 is MORE than enough for a model to get paid a year. I wish i could get that much for looking bored in front of a camera in my lingirie....getting access to clothes i don't even have to pay for, having people to remind me about appointments, not having to worry about making sure my parents don't go into debt because of my tuition payments...

You know what....I ask myself that question a lot. What gives an athlete the right to demand $120 mil or more and an actor/actress demanding to make 10-17 mil a film? I don't understand that! It's not like they are researching scientests looking for a cure for AIDS or Cancer. The're not heart and brain surgeons. But that's how this crazy world is. Kids, teens and people in general look up to people like Gisele and Heidi Klum more than they do for doctors, cancer and aids researchers or even the likes of Bill Gates. Superficial society we live in and that's just sad.....

That's ridiculous..."regular" people make on average what, 50 thousand a year? Do the math. If a regular person works for 40 years, making 50 thousand a year...that equals 2 million dollars. That is less than what most actors make on probably 3 months or work for ONE movie. It's disgusting.
