LOL Just when I’m convinced that there couldn’t be anyone more bland, more mediocre, more generic than Kim Jones, this person quickly reminds me that there’s the bottom of the bottom of the barrel to scrap from. It’s just random, basic merch with the cheapest styling. (…Must be Carine.)

I know ‘no one’ here likes him and fairly since his disastrous last collection.
I thought he would make wonderful things and I did enjoy his first presentations but his last one was bad.
and it’s so hard to forget bad things.

however, the mint suit is amazingly minimal, the long black see-through dress is beautiful, the oversized coat and the printed jacket/ coat (?) look great and so does the long mint dress (even with the bow!).

overall and at least on the good pieces, the drapping looks impeccable and so does the cut. it’s such a shame that he can’t develop a collection cohesively and consistently (even though his first ones were more centred imo).

ends up being underwhelming because there’s very good and very bad.

(I won’t comment on his Menswear, it’s terrible).

I know. He has a good 4½ decades of Givenchy's Givenchy to work with and lots of it is easy to modernise too.

Whatever, it's just another parade of mediocrity.
The womenswear has one good look, and it's the backless sequins dress (look 24). The rest are just leftovers from his last show.
The menswear, what are those? Who would buy this, even COS is more exciting.

These are the clothes that will be hanging in the store and he wonders why his clothes are not selling.
Besides getting it for free or 80% off, who would pay for this full price?

I know it's just pre-fall so it's more or less a collection of merchandise to be sold, but the menswear is such a non-event that it's embarrassing. it seems they are chasing the streetwear crowd, similar to what Tisci did but even then it looks like a bad copy of it...
