I like the animalier dress and the Mongolian fur coat just after.
I would love to buy it at a discount at one of their outlets or at the end of the sales…Because that’s the only way to buy Williams’s Givenchy.

Lmfaoo Matthew is so unserious when it comes to menswear

I think this is the best womenswear collection Williams has presented at Givenchy so far. It doesn't really have any striking identity, but it's full of nice, wearable pieces. On the other hand, the menswear is just vile, it's like an ugly cousin of Dior by Kim Jones.

So lost.

They seem to be waiting out his contract and hopefully they have been interviewing people for his role already however as it is LVMH, I'm not too confident in their next appointment. They are very commercially driven in a cheap way. I think Kering is better with their CD appointments and having a fashion offering.

I can only hope the next person has a strong sense of direction and point of view to offer and actual skills for the runway offering.

The womenswear offering is... okay, but the menswear is so vile.
I think his contract expires this month.
That means his last show should be the menswear show on the 22nd. He does leave following that show, they'll be absolutely f*cked for the September show.

The rumours that Chloe is for sale (alongside other Richemont fashion brands) are still there after the announcement and some people may shortly manifest their interest. For my sources, the departure of Hearst clears the way for a quicker sale as the new owner would be freer to implement a new direction.

Why? The studio is still there…
They can design the collection and it will be presented through showrooms to buyers and press.
If they hire a big name, who knows, maybe they might do a show. There’s no big rebranding needed, people go on holidays in august but they have so much support that a well thought out, edited collection can be designed during that time frame.

MW’s womenswear offering is good for a Resort collection the biggest problem with him is that everybody’s so disappointed with him that I’m afraid there’s no salvation.

regardless, the draped pieces are beautiful and so is the animal print dress.
overall it’s all quite chic and elegant.

menswear is a non-event.

Makes sense. I mostly say this because fashion media and the general fashion-watching public rarely say anything positive about studio-led collections.
