Glee

OMG I am dying. My Gwyneth might be on Glee :buzz:

Here's the E! scoop -

As if the highly anticipated return of Fox's Glee tomorrow night weren't giddy-good enough, I can now confirm to you this fantastic casting news: Gwyneth Paltrow is in discussions to come on the show!

She's going to sing. And dance. And many of you fans are going to completely freak out when you hear who she might be playing: Gwyneth will be a love interest of sorts for Matthew Morrison's character, Will Schuester.

According to rock-solid Glee sources, Gwyneth would play a substitute teacher in two episodes airing in November. Mr. Schuester gets sick, so Gwyneth's character steps in and takes over the glee club. The kids love her, and Will starts to fall for her...complicating his relationship with Emma (Jayma Mays).

(We'll pause while you diehard Will and Emma fans breathe into a paper bag.)

I'm told Glee creator/executive producer/creative badass Ryan Murphy wrote this role expressly for Gwyneth, as the two are friends. If it all comes together, Ryan will be directing her first episode, which begins shooting in two weeks.

Gwyneth also sings in a movie called Country Strong, which opens in December and is already garnering strong Oscar buzz. And of course, she's no stranger to the Academy Awards, having already won one, along with that other Glee guest star who is in the works: Javier Bardem.

Hear that? It's the sound of Sue Sylvester body-slamming a student into a locker upon hearing that someone more famous than her might be coming to McKinley High. Of course, everyone else has good cause to celebrate with some serious jazz hands, 'cause Glee's second season just keeps sounding better and better. I've seen tomorrow night's premiere episode and can tell you it does not disappoint.

Anyone else looking forward to Glee's return? And what do you think about Gwyneth sharing some screen time with Matthew? Jayma, girl, time to take off your earrings...

It might not happen so I'm just going to calm down a bit but sorry I think it's totally cool.

:p

ugh god no:yuk:
sorry, i HATE Gwyneth
really?
i love G tho it's not the most popular thing to say these days...:ninja:

she really knows how to sing, beyond doubt, but i don't like the fact she's doing TV and on the other hand, how much of the guest actors will there be this season?!

i can't explain why i hate her. i just never liked her. even when i was a kid and saw her i was bored by her. she's such a snoozefest and has no presence on screen (i guess MANY will disagree with me on that point) but yeah, she is a non-person to me, not interesting, not especially nice to look at, just bland and boring. i don't even care about her private life, so it's nothing personal against her, i'm just not interested in her in ANY way

i'm so sick of all the guest-stars and Schue's man-wh*ring. either he should go back to his wife or be serious about Emma, but all these other women are just stupid storylines:yuk:

interestingly though, with me, it's everything opposite from that when it comes to G!:flower:

i think their man-wh*ring is just another proof of how there's not a single longer than 2 ep. story for anyone - Ryan Murphy did the same thing with Popular, that's why it was canceled very quickly...it happened to screenwriters of GG too.. it's sort of funny when you think about it - you'd think ppl would get bored with a longer story going on, when it's actually totally the other way round...

this is so random, when you think of musicals and singing who thought of gwenth? i'm not a big fan of hers, i only liked her in the royal tenebaums, and i still dont know why shes going to be on the show.

same with john stamos- STOP WITH THE CELEBRITIES!

Love the new episode!!
The new characters are so great, and Beast she rocks!
Rachel is so Rachel.
Hope that this season will be better than the second part of the first.
Can't wait for the Britney episode!

LOVED IT!

If possible, I despise rachel even MORE  UKHHH.

I wish sunshine stayed on - she has a fab voice
And I like the new guy - verreh cute :p

Cant wait for next weeks ep!!!! :buzz:

Sue's comments have gotten even more hilarious

and santana.. boob job REALLY?!? ughhh..

I really enjoyed the first ep back. The songs were only so so (Didn't like Rachel's song at the end and I'm over Alicia's New York song). Rachel did p*ss me off for the first time. I'm sure her fringe has something to do with it. I can't believe what happened to Finn. So unfair. In the real world his mom would of been in there and ripped the principal a new one.

The new characters were a great addition. Blonde guys balls in mouth line was a good one. I felt bad for the coach. Sue might have met her match. Is Sunshine coming back? Was she that pop star chick that won a role or something. Wonder when the "bible basher" chick is going to join and clash with Kurt.

But I can't believe they got rid of Matt aka Shaft. Did anyone else know he wasn't coming back cause I didn't? I thought he was cute. I can't believe they got rid of him. So sad.

This ep is getting great reactions so this is awesome after all the hate I've read on the net since even before Season One finished. Can't wait for next week -

Season 2, Episode 2: Britney/Brittany Promo

When Brittany and the gang try to convince Mr. Schuester to let them do a Britney Spears number, he is reluctant to go that edgy. Meanwhile, an insecure Will is curious about Emma's new beau, Dr. Carl Howell (John Stamos), so he convinces her to bring him in to talk to the kids about dental hygiene. While the dreamy doc inspires the girls to take their dental health more seriously, Will is left feeling worse than before.

(One time she met John Stamos on a plane and he told her she was pretty).

Love SOOO much the episode!
Rachel is my fav with SS!
The songs were great, and the drama and comedy too.
Can't wait for the Britney episode!

Label- sunshine is signed on for a few episodes but i dont know if shes going to be with VA or new directions. and i didn't know matt wasn't coming back either, i mean it took them what 21 episodes to give him one line and then hes gone

I really liked this episode, it made me really excited again for glee. I never liked that empire state of mind song but i've been listening to glee's version non-stop.
i liked the opening when the guy was interviewing everyone and he goes to will and says "theres a forum on my blog that says you should quit rapping" see ryan murphy does hear our begging
and i laughed when sue interrupted telephone, that was hilarious
that dude does have a really big mouth

im so excited for next week!!!!

The new football player, the blonde guy, he's Kurt's love interest isn't he?

I remember them saying he was going to be the new star of the football team..

^ It hasn't been confirmed. He could be but I have a feeling it's going to be someone else. A non-jock.

I remember there being a photo of the actor playing Kurt's love interest, and I'm pretty certain it was him...

^ One of the reasons I'm not sure Sam (the blonde guy) is the new boy friends is because I read in the spoiler/gossip articles that Kurt is not getting a boyfriend until the second half of the show (the eps that air next year). But you never know that could change.

I loved Sam's “I don’t know. I’ve never had any balls in my mouth. Have you?” line. He looked so innocent.

One of the best lines was Kurt's - “Fashion has no gender.”

i enjoyed this episode again, finally it's getting better =)
i like the new guy, hope Sunshine doesn't come back, just in tiny little cameos, her acting was horrible:yuk:
the songs were ok, but nothing spectacular
can't wait for the Brit ep, although i was very sceptical at first, but now i'm really excited, the preview looks good

I just love this show, mainly, for the amazing performances but it's just so funny at the same time!!! This season looks better than the second half of the first one!!!

--> Can't wait to see the Britney episode next week!!!

Ha. Just heard the tracks from the Britney episode, and Toxic is really great actually! It's not just the same as the original, which is good. The others are all pretty much just like the original recordings...
