Oh, don't wish that on Grace!! I am maybe the biggest Cary Grant fan in the world, but he was not at all like he was on screen in his private life...The stories from his friends and such are legion- not a bad guy but very unpredictable and some serious personality issues...Grace had it tough enough with Rainer!! ;)
Well sure, but it's not like Grace wasn't (sometimes drastically) unlike her image or without faults either. Cary and Grace were very fond of each other... however, I don't wish them together, somehow they'd be an odd match imo. They're awesome together in To Catch a Thief, though :)

Love #2361, so cute ^^

Eh, seeing as how I loathe Rainier, I'll wish whatever I want, thanks.

Why do you loathe Rainier? He was genuinely devastated when Grace died. He truly seemed adrift in the years after her death and he seemed like a sweet old man.

He gave Grace so much unneeded stress and emotional troubles. She never seemed entirely happy with her decision to leave Hollywood. I've heard stories about how upset she was. He was very sly and controlling. No wonder her father didn't like him.

To be fair, Grace had emotional issues way before Rainier due to her father and her whole family, in fact. never knew that Grace's dad disliked Rainier. No one forced Grace to leave Hollywood-she made that decision herself.

No, she was essentially expected to marry a fine, upstanding gentleman. She married Rainier to please her father. Rainier was a sad excuse for a husband, in my opinion. No need for an argument, it's just my view on the marriage.

I personally don't think she should have left Hollywood, but I am not sure her career would have panned out so well if she had stayed.
