i have hazel eyes...i only get that gorgeous green color when i dont get enough sleep!

I love green eyes!... Mine are more on the gray side than hazel, but I agree with most of the posts.. Plum/purples always look good, as long as the color has a warm tone. Also... bronze/gold shades on lids or in the inner corner make the green stand out. Sometimes I use a deep blue eyeliner and use diorshow mascara in azure blue on lashes - it looks great if the rest of the eye is neutral; I always get compliments when I wear this.

Green eyes are gorgeous ! I think us with the 'cat eyes' look best with gold and brown shades, and of course with purple which is my favourite. Some people say pink looks good with green eyes too, but this combination never really worked for me...

I've got bright green eyes, dark brown hair (although I have dyed it every color in the book, black suited me really well, so did red but I wasn't a fan of the blonde ...) and I'm always looking for the perfect evening eye-shadow. I used to wear a lot of pink and slightly purple shadow when I was younger but now I'm almost 27 and I just don't think that combination is classy enough for me anymore! I have never tried gold so maybe I should give that a try?

I haven't used any eye-shadow for about three or four years now, not because I don't want to but because I haven't found any shadow that I like and that I think suits me. I also have been doing the minimal make-up look for the past years, usually just use a concealer, mascara, liner inside the lower eyelid and neutral gloss. But now I'm starting to want to spice things up a bit so I'm thinking I should try a gold color. But that doesn't really go with most clothes does it?

I have fairly dark green eyes with a light ring of gold around my pupil and gold flecks. I have strawberry blond red hair. The following eyeshadows I wear on a fairly regular basis (mainly peachy pinks, brown gold shimmers and some purple/plums

I find eyeshadows so frustrating. I'm very pale with a narrow face, currently auburn-ish hair, and green eyes. Everything looks too heavy, but I also hate looking so plain. I typically wear royal blue or purple amethyst mascara though. Blue mascara has been a signature of mine.

There are so many shades of green. Why, just look at our roster of smilies. You've got your sick variety, your leprechaun ilk , and your big ol' Mr. Green. Which of the three are your eyes like? (Sorry, I get overexcited whenever I have the smilies option in the reply box.)

I have what's called EVIL EYES Its like a dark green with yellow specks...they get dark and light depending on lots of things...However, I am a makeup artist and I LOVE purples, bronzes, greens, plums, and golds.. A lot of you guys think purples don't look good on you but there are tons of different purple e/s's out there. I am obsessed with Urban Decays "Heist" which is a matte greyish purple that I use in my crease and it makes me look so awake and elegant...another purple I like a lot is by Face Stockholm "Spirit" (its a pigment thats gorg), Satin Taupe (looks amazing on everyone), and last but DEF not least...Stila's "Poise" and "Viola"...try em. Trust!
Also..Urban Decay's "Smog" is my fav bronze..Looks just like Mac's Bronze that has been discont. damn it

Ohh and Urban Decay's eyeliner in Rockstar is a great way to start...it's perfection

The confusing thing about flattering eyemakeup if that you must also take your skintone and haircolor into account. For example, bronze shadow brings out my eyes, but looks jarring against my skin. Milfbutsingle is correct; there are many different shades for each color, not just in terms of light and dark. Like if a red-based purple (ex. MAC Trax) doesn't flatter you, try a blue-based one (Parfait Amour).

The Chanel mua wasn't completely off-base, a dark emerald would be bewitching on your eyes. If you want to wear green eyemakeup, make it either much lighter or darker than your eyes, so that there is some contrast; the same color as your eyes will make your eyecolor muted in comparison.

One tip is not to focus on eyemakeup at all, as a berry, plum, or red lipcolor/blush will bring out green eyes like nothing else. This also works on blue eyes, but the effect on green eyes is even more striking. Milla Jojovich often just wears berry lipstick, and it makes her eyes glow. (If you go to Stila for eyeshadow, check out Natalie lipstick, it's amazing for green eyes.)

Definitely purples and plums, anything red-based. My current favorite is Korres Plum eyeshadow.

I have green eyes and I usually go for dark grey and black when I go out (as seen on my avatar). I dont really like the purple and gold shadows...I think they look weird, but that might be because Im very pale and have very, very blonde hair as well.

Other than that, I have this copper coloured eyeshadow that I love, and one that is a mixture og aqua green and azure blue, and those are basically the ones Ive used for the last three years.

i have green eyes and pale face,blonde hair and i love natural make up, i use usually some natural beige based eyeshadow or white or some light golden one. sometimes when i feel playfull i wear superlight green eye shadow and it looks really good! also really light lilac eye shadow.
