Green Eyes

i have green eyes and blond hair as well but i find that when i wear purple it looks tacky, so instead i wear dark grey or even forest green to get that smoky look and i always wear dark green eye pencil which looks fab, contrary to wat i read in mags green does look nice :D

Hi There. I went to MAC with a friend yesterday, the make up artist used lavendar and purple shades on my black haired green eyed friend. It looked amazing, you can play around with shades and intensify colours for day or evening. I'm seriously considering green contacts for summer! Just looked in Grazia and its there too!

I have green eyes tanned skin and dark hair. I find that dark purples look great on me. Also dark green.

I avoid blue because it looks terrible on me. The dark purples and dark greens wont look too gothic.

i have green eyes but havent experimented yet with purple eye liner

I use a green ( dark green) to intensify the green

I, too have green eyes and brown hair(they're an extremely true shade of green) and a complexion similar to yours. (that's my picture in my avatar, if you want an idea). I typically use colors that have brown and pink tones in them, they contrast very nicely with the green. I get lots of compliments and, "what color eyeshadow do you use?" I use Clinique's Duo Shadow in Rose Wine for an everyday thing. For nighttime looks I typically go with the same color family as the Clinique, but a little darker and more dramtic. I've noticed that purples kind of wash me out and make me look weird, but the brown/pink colors tend to add warmth to my face...Also try shimmery golds or bronzes.

ok everyone- big news! i tried purple and it does not suit me
hehe

I'll stick with my greens

i too have tryed purple. i found that it you use it like an eyeliner on the top lid it looks really good. i 'line' brush is needed tho.

what do people think of this eyeshadow thing? people do keep saying pinks and greens. how about together... i'm not sure.

reddish coppers, like deep deep maroons would look great because green and red and compliment colors and any touch of red will make the green seem that much stronger.

Just be sure to wear concealer to avoid looking tired. B)

I've been trying a medium brown eyeliner lately, and they has really, somehow, helped to bring out the green. I guess any eyeliner will do that, but this is a very brown eyeliner - not dark, but a medium shade that's actually really pretty.

what make? i have been trying to find a really nice brown for ages.

i really like to use a black linner on the top lid and barry M green linner on the bottom. (somethimes a little green shadow), lots of mascara needed for a dramatic effect.

Personally...I can't wear the purples very well. Perhaps dark colors look bad on my face, because it's nearly busy already...I have freckles. Plus, it usually looks bad unless I use a really good concealer.

I have found shimmery golden shadows to make your eyes pop, and even a gold/orange, if you can pull that off.

Same here - unless it's a very muted plummy tone, I stay away from the purples even thought they're supposed to look so good with green eyes.

I prefer gold, silver, copper and shimmery brown/taupe shades.
