Those basic canvas monogram bags are all manufactured in Prato chinese sweatshops (no safety aids installed on equipments, kitchenettes / bedrooms located inside the building) and their production costs span a range from 20 to 50 Eur per piece, anyone with a little knowledge of fashion business living in Italy knows that. Getting a canvas bag in 2025, whether it's from LVMH, Kering, Richemont, Mayhoola feels so out of touch cause one would expect random customers to have gained some kind of awareness on how these conglomerates operate to increase profits / margins and cut costs. If anyone really had any doubt on how Kering gets the 7+ mil Eur yearly salary for Patrizio Di Marco and Marco Bizzarri CEO positions...At a time when spending on "luxury" is in decline, I'd be surprised if anyone pays the currently inflated ££££ prices for Gucci canvas products, they're more likely to swivel to a contemporary brand like Coach or Michael Kors for a canvas bag at a tenth of the price - or pick up something similar to Gucci from a stall.
By the way, Gucci got definitely the worst monogram, even worse than Dior oblique...at least LV tweaks it multiple times per year for the release of some spicy capsule.
