Well the article says younger models, I bet Riccardo will cast the opener and other new models.
My bad, I didn't check the article but how could I forget about Sarah Brannon! She really stood out to me in the show and I definitely hope she's in the campaign!
 
His campaigns have been pure gimick for the past few years. We shouldn't be surprised. He has one or two 'stars' per campaign and then he uses some models to sort of redeem himself. Not that he needs to, though, but I see it like that, just for the sake of not being completely commercial. The focus of the campaign is always on the star, because that's what will make people talk about the brand. The models are just fillers.

What a joke. Tell us how you really feel, Riccardo? If the high fashion crowd who pal around and hire these famous-for-nothing types don't even take them seriously, why should the rest of us?

it's weird that Julia is almost a fresh face in fashion nowadays. She used to be so overexposed (mediawise, not specifically in fashion) during her most successful days.

I was thinking the same. She's kind of a refreshing choice.
 
I agree, saucer-like. That quote is coming from the man whose best friends with the Kardashian family and hangs out with young instanobodies in Hollywood.
 
totally shocked when i saw the title of this thread. i literally said aloud to myself, "surely not the Julia Roberts. must be some new model or something..."

but i'm completely pleasantly surprised! i think she's a wonderful choice for the campaign and i think she looks fantastic.

i'm a sucker for Julia. i've been in love with her since i saw Pretty Woman like 25 years ago. she's truly an Icon and a movie STAR in a way that just doesn't exist anymore.

love the result. LOVE.
 
Yay for Julia but meh for the result ! Riccardo can pretend and say everything he wants about true fame but choosing Julia Roberts and not even shooting in the clothes from collection is just another move from the biggest famewhore in the fashion industry right now.
 
I like Julia a lot! But...Is it just me or this is slightly similar to Miu Miu with Natalie Westling? I know is not the same concept, obviously, but I can't help thinking in that campaign.

They'd wish! Probably it's because they've gone with the diptych concept as well, albeit poorly executed. Because imo that's where the similarities ends. Lets not demean Jamie's craft by comparing it against these two hacks' consistently tepid works!

I'm happy to see two of my favorite girls in the campaign: Mica & Imaan. Mica shot is the best from the entire campaign but i don't know, something is wrong with Imaan's shot.
The cast may be good but i'm not excited by the campaign at all after seeing this.
 
IMAAN! :heart: Mica looks fantastic as well. Who's the last model.
 
Mica looks strong and amazing, but God the concept. The concept's even cheaper than the fall 2006 one.
 
I'm happy to see Imaan... but that's just horrid. All of it. Okay, maybe that third shot isn't that bad, but still.
 
The concept & styling is baad, great cast put the photos look boring
 
Happy to see Imaan. I LOVE Stella's shot, so happy she's in the campaign. Hope Sarah Brannon also is in it since she opened the show.
 
Dying over Imaan and Mica's shots. Especially long overdue for Imaan since she opened the S/S 14 show. Looking at these new images, though, Julia's photos really don't serve a purpose other than to generate "hype"
