I really like those doctor style bags as well, too bad it costs £10,000+.

They come in logo fabric as well for $1350, I believe. This is the medium doctor bag, 13" x 7"

They have new colors, for the large horsebit hobo!! Aside from the embossed leather, they have the gg fabric with mandarin (dark orange) trim, I think it looks nice. Although I would never buy this bag, because my friend has it, but I would totally get this color if I was gonna buy it.

I checked out the whole line @ Gucci.com and what Neimans, Saks, and Bergdorfs has available and while I like the blue color they have out I am not in love with any of the new bags or shoes.

Yeah, the variations of the doctor bag sounded gorgeous (not to mention somewhat more resonably priced).....sucks that you can't see them on the site.

Those prices really aren't that outrageous, consider the prices Hermes charges for their exotic skins. Then take into consideration the quality of the skin, the bag itself and the size. That really isn't a rediculously priced bag (in comparison to any other designer house anyway)

This new collection is eehhh ... it doesn't "wow" me. I do like the horsebit hobo but i prefer the previous season as far as colors and material. I would like the one above if the trim was in a different color (im not a big fan of orangedoh:

I really love the horsebit bag (i'm currently begging for it since my boyfriend forgot my birthday!!) but I think that the fabric version looks a little...cheapy, although I do have a pochette in the jacquard fabric and I'm completley in love with it. eehh I'm being so indesisive (sp?)--maybe something really shocking like the horsebit in guccissima blue? any help on how the leather looks would be wonderful!

I saw the Guccissima at Neimans, but I didnt touch the bags, so I cant tell you much. But personally, I think the large horsebit with the Guccissima leather is gorgeous. Its greatly evolved--its got the logo, but not cheesy like the jacquard fabric....and not as plain as the previous all-leather versions. So its kinda the perfect gucci bag.

And your boyfriend owes you that bag (since he forgot b-day).

Guccissima leather

I ordered the ankle boot in black guccissima (cause the shoes I want usually sell out fast) from neimans and returned it immediately. The look and feel is not impressive, it is cheap looking, the leather was reasonably soft and it was shiny looking. A disappointment.

I just ordered a large black plain leather horsebit hobo from Bergdorf that is in shipment to me. It is from the new fall collection - Bergdorf just got it in stock two weeks ago. I have heard Gucci changed the hardware on the bag from previous seasons (it is now a light, shiny gold versus a brushed gold), and - here is the part I don't like - people who have seen the fall smooth leather bags in real life feel the leather is not as luxe - it's stiffer, more shiny, and feels like patent leather.

Since I have never seen or felt a horsebit leather bag I have no frame of reference to compare the new fall season bags to previous seasons.

I will be really disappointed if Gucci cut corners and reduced quality - the bag cost $1,420!

Can anywone confirm what I have heard about the new fall bag?

you're talking about the classic plain leather hobo not the guccissima, right? first, I don't recall it ever having brushed gold hardware -- it's been light gold for a few years now. I haven't seen the new bags but I guarantee they're not stiff like patent leather.
