Gucci F/W 2025.26 Milan

Well it certainly wasn’t worse than the previous collections. Some of it was nice, but as expected it was a bit all over the place in direction. There were some hints Alessandro, a bit of Miu Miu, Bottega. The menswear in particular was insipid.

Gorgeous venue and production tho, I guess they’ll have to rely on that in the meantime.

1. Music was great ! Loved it.
2. Set was beautiful to me with the interlocking G's, but did not like how they ended the show just to just re-run it over again on the opposite side when they could have figured out a different choreography/path setup to have a continuous show.
3. Did I see anything I would want to buy or wear ? No. Was it a better collection and show than any of Dancing Queen's collections ? Yes !
4. Ready for a solid creative director.

Your collection is really bad when you come up
the ill conceived idea to hold a bag horizontally. I find this whole parade of clothes very sad and devoid of energy, it reminds me of all brands except Gucci. I think it perfectly sums up the soup of sameness we see everywhere. Sure there might be nice pieces here and there, but it’s not fashion - it’s merch.

I might be alone but....

This is the best Gucci we’ve had in years! :innocent:

A much better transition from the quirky Gucci of AM and what SdS intended as elevated basics (and what Kering wants for the brand).

The Gauguin-inspired color palette, the classic yet subtly sexy styling, and the stronger, more commercially viable separates are way more convincing than what we had from Ancora guy. The soundtrack adds a dark, twisted atmosphere reminiscent of Lynch, while the Gucci codes are re-used in a more convincing way than anything SdS ever did.
The best since the interim collection by Davide Renne, but it’s still a non-descript mashup of the current trends, including a lot of inspiration from fellow Bottega and YSL, mixed with bad Prada.
It’s mainly without point of view, directionless and without storytelling.
And are they relaunching Michele’s Princetown mules ?

Bland and boring and to think the design team was supposed to come out be proud of this (also very young team, in contrast to Alessandro's Valentino team). Why would any customer want to go for diet Prada when you can have the real thing? But to be proud of this collection that was made from scraps of the SDS era, I feel bad for the whole team. No joy, life, humour, intellect - just nothing. Gucci is a sinking ship.

I actually thought it was quite offensive to not involve or acknowledge ancora man in this in any way at all. the public is very well aware he has been there for a while and then they wheel out the design team at the end with all the bravado like its the olympic games
If Cantino and co thinks this will sell better than what sabato offered he is wrong. it was a lifeless mixture of burberry fabrics and a sad copy paste of tf, prada and sl in the majority of looks.crazy.

The menswear is so nondescript, I am forgetting what it looked like as I am typing this. Enough with the boy models, please cast men! The womenwear is a tad better but it's not really saying much
mens wear director is from Bottega (straight male) he been there just before when alessandro left wanker vibez ala Givenchy last Creative director for got his name ------ no ideas same ref on repeat

This horsebit belt thing is killing me 😭 I’m also so confused by their “quiet luxury” push. People buy Gucci because they want everyone around them to know where they got it. Very few of these clothes say “Gucci” to me.

It’s giving “how many house codes can you put in one outfit”, lol

This felt very Sabato, like a complementary show to his first ss24.
They share the color palete of neutrals, with dashes of strong greens and violets, and a touch of orange.
Replace the ancora rosso from the first show by shades of pink here. Et voilà.
It is the same woman. She is in shorts and miniskirts in ss24, here she prefers to party in a satin dress and a piece of fur. Almost no garments were monogramed. I quite liked it.
The mens, ferragamoish vibes as usual.

I liked the venue, I didn't like the orchestra (what for, if the soundtrack is 90% electronic), overall best show by Sabato de Sarno for Gucci (although "in absentia").

and still fail !!!!

its crap also most of the team has been there with alessandro and some at the end of his departure the archive of gucci is accessible to them why keep trying to be prada and raf and everyone else out there i don't get.

lots of clothes that don't need to exist in this show , its just a dressed up ancora collection of things ancora boy would have put out of the show they decided to leave it all in with merch push on acc

its all outdated ideas of modern and sexy, and bad fits
it's embarrassing

set is cheap as f ......reminds me when armani hotel opened in dubai the shinny club restaurant area and thats like in 2010
