Gwyneth Paltrow drinks while pregnant

no. i don't find it in that way, sorry.

i find this board kinda funny...

it's forbidden to talk about kate's addiction and it's fine to talk bs about gwyneth whenever there's a chance.

don't give opinions on things you don't know for sure.

we all know how much Gwyneth cares, as every mother, for her child and makind statments about her selfinshness or whatever are pure bs.

Not sure whether I envy you your sheltered life or not ... but you must surely have had one if you believe every mother cares for her child and all mankind.

If people did that then there would be no such thing as opinions and everything would be fact. :P

It seems she was far in her pregnancy, so it probably didn't hurt her son, thank goodness. I still feel like it's wrong and selfish to drink at any stage in a pregnancy.

it's great how ppl here are so not offensive to any comments. just great.

Yeah, if you know everything about something then what you're stating about it is fact based on everything that you know... Unless one is a complete liar and knows everything about something but still insists on stating things that are false.

Facts are very rare in life. Most statements are opinions since most individuals are not 100% informed.

i wrote that post in sarchastic way.

some things piss me too much.- i get what you mean, but i don't like such a negative tone regarding gwyneth that's been a case for some time now.
it's like there's a constant wait for something for her do or say just so she can be verbaly attacted and judged and i don't like it. not a bit, when i think of other attitudes to other ppl.

Everyone's just stating their opinion here. That's what discussion is about. Best to try and not take other's opinion of Gwyn personally

TFS is a forum of people who criticize other people, how they dress, what they eat, what they smoke, who they date, what they drink, when they fart, how they drive, how they interview...etc.

My only suggestion is that you get used to it. I've seen far worse threads than this one. Some members will completely write off a celeb if they wear an iffy shade of nail polish.

yeah..maybe i just took this site with all the other hate-gwyneth ones. sorry. but it still...don't know.i find it un-neccesary to debate should (any) woman drink or not during pregancy, cus it's too personal and the opinions on this are too extreme for everyone, so it's not such a good ground to start any arguments.

sorry, though.

Don't be sorry. There is no need to be.

In any case, there are alcoholics who drink several times while pregnant and manage to give birth to healthy babies while some others drink while pregnant and give birth to babies with major mental and physical disabilities.

You'd all be surprised as to how many alcohol addicted women give birth to healthy babies. My friend is a nurse and she's told me stories about pregnant women coming in high on coke and smelling of alcohol and marijuana and giving birth to healthy babies with no withdrawl problems.

Now I'm not saying that women should abuse drugs and drink while pregnant, but I would think that a beer once a month or every couple of weeks could not greatly harm an unborn child.

i agree totally. espec. if she's at the end of the pregnancy, as gwyneth was.

Not all opinions are equal. Some opinions are informed, i.e. logical conclusions based on facts and experience. This is an informed opinion:

It really is ok to have a little alcohol while pregnant. Some people can't have "just a little" so the general advice is to have none at all so the ones with problems don't take it as encouragement to keep on drinking.

My mother is an ob gyn and she confirms this.

I think some people really get a kick out of judging and looking down on others. I guess it makes them feel better about themselves. Unfortunately, people seem to think it's ok to judge and interfere with the lives of pregnant women; as if once a woman becomes pregnant, her right to have individual needs and desires becomes totally irrelevant.

very true, sadly. same goes to mothers with babies and young children...

Soooo true!!!

People allways also seem to be so patronizing towards celebrities, almost like they aren´t people after all....We can give opinions, like Celine Chic said, but we also must think if it were us on the spot would we still be that judgemental?!
