Haider Ackermann - Designer, Creative Director of Canada Goose & Tom Ford

How Hollywood went from Tom Cruise and Charlie Sheen in the 80s/90s to fawning over a very average looking and average actor like Chalamet will boggle my mind, he looks like a high school kid and not the popular ones at that.

To me, the answer is clear - He can wear the kind of men’s high fashion designers like Raf Simons or Hedi Slimane pioneered in the early 2000s.

He has the proportions of a male model and the face to pull of designs that would look ridiculous on the majority of mature actors. That, along with a very well-curated mix of designers like Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton, Celine by Hedi Slimane, Haider Ackermann or Tom Ford, ensured that he looked sophisticated but with an edge, as compared to fashion victims who would wear, say, Rick Owens from head to toe, including those heeled boots.

The person who wrote this probably thinks that content creators who look like they‘re spending the whole day at the gym (and flaunt their results on social media) make for better role models than the guy who is into literature but perhaps not making a huge income… Oh, how the values have changed…

I guess they were just joking about le latin quartier students who have the privilege to study liberal arts at the age of 26 since higher education is not free in most countries. Unlike France or those EU countries, young people in the richest country of the world still have to get student loans to pay for college, let alone at the age of 26 working hard to make a living and paying back.

One of the worst gossiper and sh*t-stirrer of the fashion circus in Paris. To avoid, and when unable, take with a large pinch of salt.

He was making fun of trust fund babies.
No 26yo men w/o income can live like this. Except for trust fund babies.
And it was funny!
