I need advice on which bag to get my mother for her birthday in a few weeks. Unfortunately I couldn't find pics of either of the bags I'm considering, I hope a description will give you an idea of what the bags looks like.
Right now I'm considering either a blue dior crocodile saddle pouch, or a dior canvas monogram shopper bag in red. The issue with the monogram bag is that I can only get it in red (elux doesn't ship overseas, so my reliable bag resourches are rather limited without actually travelling to the boutiques, which I can't right now because of the dogs, or subjecting myself to the horror of speaking English on the phone (I only do that during bag emergencies ) Anyway, dark red isn't exactly my mother's color, she loves blue and just bought a blue coat which would go perfectly with the dior saddle pouch. But the trouble with the dior saddle pouch is that it's so small it'd never fit 1/10 of what she totes around on a daibly basis, so it'd be more of an evening bag. Whereas the dior canvas shopper she could carry to work and get more use of.

Umm, I just got paranoid that the dior croco saddle pouch would be sold already, so I ordered it. Apparently it's a limited edition item, and I already got my mother a Spy for Christmas that she carries to work. Thanks for giving me a place to rant so that I could figure it out for myself

Hi Ladies, I need some help! I really want to get a Balenciaga black classique for an all-round evening/clubbing bag. I've been wanting this for a long time. My reasoning is it's black so won't get dirty easil, it goes with everything and because it's the small size, I can tuck it under my shoulder so less likely to get spills etc.

BUT, I don't have a lot to spend on handbags overall, so would I be better off:

(a) waiting for a to-die-for colour (even though I'm not too keen on colours, apart from lilac but the Spring one was really disappointing in the b-bags)

(b) getting something like the MJ Stam or Stella which I can use more on a daily basis and not use it for night (I will use the classique for day when I don't have to carry that much)??

To give more of a perspective, I already own:
(1) Balenciaga rouge twiggy (used for day/casual and night light maintenance events (i.e. dinner parties but not bars)
(2) Chloe Paddington in Tan (haven't used this much - saving it for Spring/Summer day
(3) Chanel Reissue in Grey (as day bag; haven't really taken it out at night).

Help!

I'm bit confused, are you asking black classie vs. colored classique vs MJ stam/stella, or are you getting the black classique for sure and it's just between the later two?

I'm confused too I think I might wait for the black classique from F/W with the nicer leather and get the Stam or Stella if I really want a bag before then. I recently got the Chanel but as it was a gift and I didn't personally pay for it, I think it's time to buy another handbag

Initially, I would go for the MJ cream Stam. However, I think the Chloe Paddington is more versatile.

Tushka_Bella - i agree with Diorella the Paddington is much more versatile, i love the Stam but i think the paddington can be worn a lot more than the stam.. (if that makes sense!)

Which colours do you recommend? I like navy and tan but haven't seen the full spectrum of colours that they come in.
