i'm searching for my spring bag.
i'm thinking i want a bag in a cream/oatmeal color.
i like a larger bag... but not tote size by any means.
i like a little structure but not hard leather type of structure.
i'm thinking $400 or less.
i'm having trouble finding something. any suggestions?

You cant return anything but RTW, for which you get Store Credit only within 14 days and only at the store you bought it at.

Sister got a red Gaucho and a Diorissimo satchel. I HATE the Gaucho but the Diorissimo satchel I dont mind, it's cute...

FYI. Dior's return policy is like nonexistant. My sister is currently in NYC and wants the Gaucho, I told her, think about it cause they're not taking that sh*t back!!

You can return RTW within 10 days. I got a top and returned it no problem

Hello everyone,
I am looking for a classic/stylist bag, I have a hard time deciding from the following bags:
1) Marc Jacobs Quilted Elise (Blush) - bought
2) Muse (Medium White) - backordered at Saks
3) Paddington (Medium Satchel Chalk) - on hold at Nordstrom
4) Cladestine (Medium Blush) - on wait list at NM

I am very petite (5 ft). My style is somewhat conservative. =)
I wear a lot of neutral color, I usually match black/brown/tan bottom (pant, pencil skirt) with light colored top. I might get 2, which ones should I go for? Any advice is appreciated, thank you in advance. =)

i saw this bag on jcrew website. it's $ 245. i like the green, but if you're work is more conservative go for the black or brown. it looks like it can fit alot of stuff.

this one was on banana republic website. it is $248. it only comes in black. i like the extra pockets and zipper compartment on the outside for smaller things.

hey Uniquechick, i would say the fendi spy..although im not too sure bout the velvet part..anyways, im in Australia too and im also contemplating on a few bags (including the fendi spy)..here's my scenario, i need a bag that i can use everyday for uni (school), so it has to be durable, can fit quite a bit, and preferablly somewhat timeless , but also stylish ..what i have in mind now is:

-the fendi spy in petrol (although i have nooooo idea where to get it in Australia..and im kinda scared it might just be another "it" bag...)

or

-the chanel cerf tote that ashley olsen carries to her yoga classes (not sure bout its durability tho.. )

or

hi-will you carry notebooks, book or other heavy things in this bag? if not, i vote for spy for sure. but if you plan to carry heavy things in the bag, the spy is not for you. it's beautiful leather, but v. soft and stretches. the woven handle is known to gap when bag is filled with heavy things....

I like the Manhattan GM ALOT, even though it's a ripoff of an MJ bag and I cant stand Monogram, but for school, it would be cool. The first thing I thought of for a school bag would be the Alma, or the Alma Voyage MM, it's very structured and it opens up really wide. In an ideal world Id carry a black Birkin, for school.

Aiga -- I agree with positano that the spy is the best bag of the ones you posted, but not good for carrying books or anything heavy.

I think the YSL oversize muse is the perfect bag for school, I know thats how UNiQ has been using hers. It can fit a ton, fits on the shoulder, and is very durable buffulo leather.

i agree with guessgirl, the the oversize muse is perfect if you have to carry lots of stuff. it is HUGE! you could put the kitchen sink inside of it and still have extra room!

Thank you to everyone for their inputs on work bags..I ended up getting the Banana Republic Tangiers tote in Chalk..

I decided not to go too conservative hence the color I picked and not too big since I won't need to carry everyday (I change bags almost everyday!)..just on certain days I need to travel out of the office :-flower:

Yes!! The leather is so divine!! I actually chose the one that looked more textured..they had one where the leather was smooth all around & it didn't look as nice. Plus I got to use a 15% coupon..ha ha All the more better in price:-)

My only dilemna now is that I had purchased the Kempton simple shoulder bag a few weeks ago also in Chalk ..and I love that one too because it's so slouchy and the color so versatile..
