“During Fashion Week, I had a shoe that looked like it was about to break but I still wore it even though I had back-to-back shows. Of course, it broke, so I had to hop from show to show on one shoe and a half!” Fortunately, IMG model Hanne Gaby took this problem into her own hands, teaming up with IMG NYC shoe designer Matt Bernson on a very limited edition 8 piece capsule collection of avant garde yet very wearable shoes. The attention to comfort and technical details speaks to Hanne’s hectic life on the run as one of the most in-demand models of our time. She has a grueling travel schedule and literally runs from one top designer runway show to another and then jets off to photoshoots for fashion’s top brands. Well-aligned with an off-duty model’s needs, the Matt Bernson core philosophy is style and comfort. The two shepherded the process, bringing years of experience and feel for what the customer will not only want, but what they will line up for. Hanne Gaby Odiele is a Belgian fashion model. Discovered while attending Novarock in Beligium, the statuesque blonde is known for her inimitable street style and regularly featured on top style blogs. Hanne has walked for top designers like Saint Laurent, Acne, Dries Van Noten, and Kenzo. She has appeared in campaigns for Sonia Rykiel, Moschino and Diesel.

i was curious to see better pics of this...

i see her walking around town and she is undoubtedly a very cool girl...

the shoes look comfortable and interesting...
i've been interested in matt bernson's work since he collaborated with eileen fisher...

there is a pair of flat comfy sandals he did for EF that i still regret not getting...


while i can't say i love any of these, i think they are well designed and i can see exactly who the target customer is...
they have a marni meets proenza schouler look about them, imho...
