Backstage before the Jason Wu show on Friday morning Pret-a-Reporter asked Belgian model Hanne Gaby Odiele — who has appeared in campaigns for labels including Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang — if she would mind answering some questions. “Dirty questions? I like dirty questions,” she responded in a charming accent.
They weren’t dirty, but she answered anyway. For one we asked her favorite place in all of New York. “My bed,” said Odiele, “and my backyard ”— the location of which is top secret. Next up, her favorite restaurants. “There are a few. I like Pepe Rosso Social in Little Italy for Italian food. And John’s of 12th Street — it’s an old-school Italian restaurant in the East Village I like. I love spaghetti, any kind of spaghetti.”

No that’s not a typo. Furthermore, she says she definitely eats spaghetti during Fashion Week. “And I love Thai food,” Odiele added. “Right now [my favorite] is in Brooklyn, a little place called Lily Thai.” For drinks, she goes “Everywhere,” but calls out the Lower East Side’s Forgetmenot. The model’s drink of choice this week is “prosecco a.k.a. Champagne a.k.a. bubbles a.k.a. sparkling wine!”
