headband chic

riiight.. i'll just continue to buy those cheap versions from h&m

I was reading this thread the other night and remembered that when I was little I made a hairband out of the cutoff sleeve hem of a t-shirt, and so I thought that I could cut a thick strip off of the bottom of a t-shirt and hem the other side and use that as a headband that tied in the back...and it turned out really well!

Larien, you need to give the source of your pic or it will have to be removed

I like to cut up black tights and use the thigh bit for easy black headbands - much like the one in the pic above!

this is great idea

I love love love headbands. It's good if you want to show off your forehead or the structure of your face. But more practically, it gets the hair out of your face at school when you don't want to put your hair up, you'll still look very nice and feminine. i used to put my hair back in a clip, which is still nice, but it took sooo much time on getting it just right and I couldn't even wear it everyday because other days I have gym and I couldn't put it back on after because you need a mirror for that. But headbands...just slip 'em right on and you're set. Black Lanvin ones are the most chic/high fashion in my opinion.

I love headbands but I have a full fringe & not sure how one will look :( it's kind of like this

Any tips guys? Or anyother full fringers sporting a headband?

mardybum8 - you have to source those pictures it's tFS policy

Does anyone have any tips on how to tie ribbons around the head as a bow head band? I hope that makes sense. I know it's probably easier than I make it out to be but I can't do it

The headbands at Givenchy SS09 were pretty sweet. Pics from style.com

I have absolutely no problem with headbands (unless they have horrid patterns or designs like skulls). I don't want to hear about how horrible headbands look. If anything, they had a little extra touch to an overall look. I praised hair bows in the thread about hair bows. The Givenchy headbands (Post #97) remind me a lot of these hair bows. Those head bands from Givenchy look lovely. Not sure whether I like the black or pastel pink ones more.

But yeah, no problem with headbands. They're nice accessories to add a little extra style to your look. Wear appropiately.

I love the Miu Miu headband here i found on eBay... want to get them!!

I have those (gold and black ) and they are great But they are only for people with tinny head....

they are SO stiff they try to squeese my brains out..
So i gave them to my little sister she is 11

i don't wanna offend you and i hope this won't, but you have such a talent in overtalking things  stuff which could be told in two sentences you tell in ten

Chanel always has the best make up... not digging Miu Miu's yellow lipstick.

I'm loving headbands though, I've always liked how they looked on me so it's not so much a trend thing!
