I like the ocd beading on the womens. It's the hedigirl miniskirts in general that never won me over. Maybe they wanted to save the atelier the work of embroidering longer skirts and sleeves for the samples...

I love Hedi but tbh it looks like for him doing couture just means putting heavy embroideries everywhere. It looks overworked and not beautiful at all.

The menswear looks super ridiculous as well.

Hilarious. Buying Matthieu Blazy out of Bottega Veneta when you are Chanel is not the same as buying out Hedi Slimane coming out of a 10M + advantages contract + non compete when you are Gucci experiencing a financial downturn.

And judging by the current CEO, it will be a war of ego.
If the man decides to set his Studio back in LA, what are they going to do?

Those publications needs to do a better job at analyzing the industry.
Not mentioning the legal battle Hedi had with Kering is almost a fault.

Cantino is enjoying his power trip at Gucci no way him and Hedi under one roof will both will survive , if at Celine it was already a problem between him and ceo wanting more control.

If anything this just shows how hiring a doormat is catastrophic. They need a star or at least someone with a compelling story to tell. Their egos will burn sht to the ground.

I find it funny that Hedi gets thrown around a lot every time there’s a vacancy. We know he’s going to do him but I guess so far we know it works. Honestly though Celine is just so recent I need a break, unless he’s going to double down with what he did with his last two womenswear collection and get rid of that rock thing for a while.

Not necessarily a puppet. Problem also is the ego designers o CD have,all of them think they are artists and don't compromise anything...For ancora it was a gift that job, he knew they needed a puppet instead he gave them a little what they wanted to hear and in the end he was so stubborn and pride to correct himself and get surrounded by silly people.

Designers or CD need to understand the business now, and have a good balance between art and commerce...be a good merchandiser with a vision and develop a good image for the brand....

For me its a problem if the CD also wants to do the campaign CD, the styling ,etc,etc,etc

I don't think Hedi will be a good fit with Cantino there.

In a way, it’s great because they are getting what they deserve. If they keep doing things this way, they will find nobody. Kering is not precisely known as a a place where you find great work ethics and atmosphere. So they definitely need to change the people in charge to somebody that let the creative directors develope their own vision.

In a way, it’s great because they are getting what they deserve. If they keep doing things this way, they will find nobody. Kering is not precisely known as a a place where you find great work ethics and atmosphere. So they definitely need to change the people in charge to somebody that let the creative directors develope their own vision.

i think you see in many companies even out side of fashion where business side now think because they have Ai and all this data on the market and clients etc that they can make decisions that guide creativity better than letting creatives lead.

at Patek Philippe the hermes of watches the ceo & owner basically designed their latest watch saying he can do a better job than hiring outside designers...this is someone that never designed a thing in his whole live.
