I don't think Helena dresses badly, her clothes seem to suit her and her personality, but I still don't like her style that much.

I love Helena's style, it's laid back, girly, sometimes Earthy, sometimes glamorous. She's gorgeous too! :-)

I really like her style. From what I remember, her anti-fashion sense inspired much of the vintage-boho craze around 12 years ago, maybe more. She would wear really interesting pieces from second-hand stores and mix them with modern finds. At the time it seemed like all of the models were wearing Versace or Alaia.

But why did she callher son Mingus?

I know somebody who uses "Mingus" as a term for "stupid", so it seems especially odd to me. I'm sure that's NOT what it really means.

HC has beautiful style & now that's it's all the rage, it's hard to understand how original she was when she began sporting that casual rich-hippie look... Kirsten Dunst has done a number of ensembles that remind me of stuff HC was wearing ten years ago. Vanessa Paradis has been working that look for a while now too. It's my fave.

Helena's image to me is like a modern day goddess- she's so voluptuous, feminine, and has a glow. She has gorgeous hair as well.

I find nothing wrong with her son being named Mingus cos I've never heard it used as a derogatory term. It's too bad that she split with Norman Reedus, I thought they made such a lovely couple.
