Formal ideas...??? Theme...

I have a formal coming up in a couple of months and the theme is "at the movies..." and i want to make something to wear for it. But im really not sure what i should go as plus i really need to start looking for fabric and some sort of pattern and that will take a while!
Does anyone have any tips as what i should go as???
Everyone thinks i should go as Audrey Hepburn cos i look like her but i dont think i want to dress up as her...

Any ideas please......

A good idea may be to go as Lana Turner who was a big star in the 30s

or another is Rita Hayworth

both of these actresses are very glassic and gorgeous and glamourus
I advise you to look them up on google images so as to get an idea of what they may be wearing!!!

How about black skinny trousers etc. adn go as sandy from greese in that last seane.

unfortunatly, we already have a couple of sandy from grease going... she is a very popular choice!!
I was also thinking of millie molly mandy and i can dress up as someone from the 1920s. But if anyone else has a better idea, pls let me know

Best Dressed @ a Dress Up Party

Im loving these dress up parties and recently they have been lashing out here on the west coast of Australia... I'd Love to know about everyone's ideas and fave costumes or what they went as to a Dress up party ANd what DEFF SUCKS!!

Long satin dress, red lips, fur/feather stole, some sparkly jewelry (either earrings or bracelet) and a dressy high-heeled sandal.

Also, go for very pale colors like silver, champagne, ivory.....
