The Stranger singer celebrated the Fourth of July with her big sis Haylie and friends at a rented million-dollar beach house.

How does Hilary stay so fit? She recently told Shape, “My friend was on tour with me and we made each other eat healthy. We ate a lot of protein, lots of veggies and oatmeal for breakfast. We tried to find a healthy mix, but still eat things that you like, but doing a trade-off. For example, if we wanted to eat dessert, we tried not to eat bread before a meal, or if we wanted to eat bread, we tried to lose dessert.”

“Stay healthy, eat healthy, eat what is good for your body and what gives you energy — and feed your sweet tooth every once in a while. That is the best way to go,” she added.

Hilary Duff Buries Paparazzi in the Sand

Hilary Duff buries a paparazzi photographer in the sand at a beach in Malibu on Wednesday with the help of big sis Haylie.

Hilary, 19, had rented a million-dollar beach house to celebrate the Fourth of July. When it came time to hit the beach, she approached the mob of paparazzi on the beach and asked for a volunteer. One photographer sacrificed himself and got himself buried in a mound of sand.

What did Hil and Hay use to represent the poor guy’s private parts? A softball and a SoBe Life Water bottle! (Passionfruit Citrus-flavored, if you wanted to know.)
