What was your reaction to getting into SI?
I was ecstatic. Sports Illustrated has been a household fixture for my family for so long. We always had subscriptions and my brother and I would get SI for Kids. I remember being in high school and wanting to be a 'Faces in the Crowd' for my high school sports. Now, I am so happy to be in the magazine because I've never really explored this side of modeling. I had the best time shooting it, too. It was all wonderful.
In all honesty, is modeling really that hard?
It can be pretty hard or pretty easy, it all depends. I think everyone has on and off days at work so I appreciate everything and am happy that I do what I do.
At what point in your career do you know you've made it?
It's different for everyone really, and I believe it's an accumulation of things. It's when you have the complete package from working with great photographers and being in the best magazines to having that contract, whether it be makeup or lingerie.
Happiness is... No regrets.
If you could change one thing in the past year, what would it be? Nothing, happiness is no regrets.
What makes you feel sexy?
Shooting SI was a very good example of me feeling sexy. It was so natural, on the beach, and I was able to move so freely and just be myself. I feel sexiest coming home at the end of the day covered in sand, and that satisfying exhaustion of being out all day on the beach and running around.
Who is your dream guy? (Ehem
Squizree, take note!
)
It has to be a combination of a lot of different qualities all rolled into one: a sense of humor, someone who makes me laugh and who is grounded are some of the most important qualities!
Do real guys have a shot?
Of course, I especially like real guys.
How much attention do you pay to nutrition and exercise, or is it all natural?
Exercise has always been a part of my life from playing tons of sports growing up to now working with a trainer most days of the week. Some people dread going to the gym but I look forward to it every day.
What meal do you miss from home?
Maryland crabs!
What is your most memorable first?
Working with Steven Meisel and becoming a representative for the Estée Lauder brand.
