THANKS

 Ouch, that game...you guys played the ultradefensive hockey (*) your (in)famous for :innocent: - Hasek blocked every single damn puck, and the defender Svoboda (means "freedom" in russian, what a sad irony for russian fans  ) scored few seconds before the end, with a lucky slap from the blue line...oh my I still have nightmares if I think about that game! :ninja:

(*) :shifty: Btw, I always mock a bit czech hockey saying it's "skuCZnyj" (dunno if in czech it's the same as in russian, but it means "boring" in Tolstoj's language...:D)

Svoboda means freedom in Czech too ;) and I guess he had his freedom when he shoot that magic goal :lol::lol:
Hasek was unstopable that time :woot:
I don't think you can translate skucznyj tu czech but its a nice word ;) Lev Nikolajevich was very smart writer and philosopher
Anyway that rivalvy between our countries and Canada has been since the hockey started. Now there is a Sweden as well!!

Brendan Witt of the New York Islanders suits up rookie Jack Brinkley, son of Christy Brinkley, in the locker room during the NHL game at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. Witt said "Damn- the way we're playing, maybe even he will help out"!! (Getty)... (Maybe that's not the exact caption but...) :innocent:

Anyone excited by the Stanley Cup games this year? I'm looking forward to seeing who ends up in the finals but for now just watching the early games.
