How much for Naomi?

Theory said:
I think she has a great walk (not forced, blatantly modelike) and a very commanding presence, which is one of the reasons, despite her surly persona she stays in demand....plus she has an amazing body/figure...she never looks too twiggy and gives shape/form to a lot of the stuff she wears...She's remained at the top for quite some time and why shouldn't she command the best and highest rates???? When you are it, you charge accordingly....plus she has first name status where if you hear the name Naomi, you turn...you wanna view that collection (doesn't she walk less these days?)......plus she's very attractive

However screwed up her personal life may be isn't my biz, just the quality of product she puts out in her arena...which IMO is still one of the gold standards in the biz....

:woot: I love it, opinions all around, gotta love it!

MODEL MONIES

spacer.gif
LINDA EVANGELISTA may once have claimed not to get out of bed for less than £10,000, but these days, it seems, the world's most powerful catwalkers can up the money stakes. Karolina Kurkova, the 19-year-old Czech with the killer pout, came top of the model money pile last year, pocketing a total of £3.8 million having taken over Gisele Bundchen's Victoria's Secret contract and posed for the likes of Tommy Hilfiger. According to the Sunday Telegraph Magazine, she disposes of some of her hard-earned cash by feeding caviar to Bella, her beloved shih tzu. Heidi Klum's £3.7 million put her in second place last year. The 30-year-old German (famously branded a "sausage" by ex-Elite Models boss John Casablancas), began the year by signing with Victoria's Secret (for the third time), Pringle, H&M Swimwear and Spar Beauty Kiss and ended it by announcing that she was pregnant by billionaire Formula 1 boss, Flavio Briatore. Russian ex-street seller Natalia Vodianova was up next - having posed for Gucci, Lanvin and Cerruti, the elfin mother-of-one made a total of £3.6 million. Britain's most beautiful, Kate Moss, came fourth on the list, with a slew of ad campaigns including Chanel Mademoiselle, Rimmel, Missoni, Stella McCartney, Zara and Burberry - for whom she also took to the catwalk just once. Next up were Carolyn Murphy, whose renewed $3 million contract with Estée Lauder combined comfortably with contracts with Lancôme, Cesare Paciotti and Harry Winston, among others, to make her £3.4 million and Carmen Kass, the self-proclaimed "richest girl from Estonia", who took sixth place, bagging a total of £3.1 million as the face and body of Sephora, Dior's J'Adore, Chanel, Mercedes, Michael Kors and Givenchy. And finally, 23-year-old American golden girl Angela Lindvall took home £3 million this year, having posed for Chloe, Dior, DKNY, Prada and Louis Vuitton. But she still hasn't impressed everyone. "When she does that spacy pout," rants actress and fashion guru Chloe Sevigny, "I just wanna punch her in the mouth." (January 6 2004, AM)

It's amazing how people spend their money when they actually really have it to spend:woot:

She thinks way too highly of herself. So you are going to pay for her to walk, pay for her manager, pay for her first class tickets, are they going to pay the legal fees as well when she throws another one of her temper tantrums?

I dont even find her to be that pretty and her attitude just makes her uglier.

Naomi is getting SOOOOOO tired now.
of corse its nice to see her now and again at shows.......the audiences and the press love it too but traveling from city to city doing a whole load of shows, with these rediculous fees and extras its just a bit sickening.

having said that, i really cant imagine what else she'd do

I'm over her. The only reason I can think of someone paying that truly outrageous fee is because she WAS part of the "Supermodel Era" and I'm sure that alone can draw in a lot of publicity.. whatever. She's not worth the money, or the trouble that would come along with her in a show. :innocent:

Hm, there is more...take Claudia Schiffer (ok, she hates Runway and won`t come), Christy Turlington or Nadia Auermann - they are also Supermodels, they are professional and pleasant and they wouldn`t even be THAT expensive (I guess...) but they are not booked...

If she is there the Designer`s name will appear in all kinds of Press (from MTV to Tabloid to Lifestyle) because Naomi is outrageous, dates Popstars etc....damn I guess it`s not even about her look anymore  ...it`s more about "the Star Naomi Campbell"

She's one of the original " Supermodels" and she will always be part of that era when they ruled the catwalk.

amen to that!

I wonder what are the fees of other tops (and I dont mean Linda or Gisele) -maybe MariaCarla? I'd book her!-

You can pay as much RM as you want but I doubt Naomi would ever consider coming to Malaysia ... assuming she even know which part of the world that is. I think she became famous for her diva status more than anything else.

Just found this:

NAOMI BLAMED FOR LATE SHOWS

spacer.gif
NAOMI CAMPBELL has been blamed for holding up some of London Fashion Week's major shows because she just couldn't make it on time. The British supermodel had tempers flaring in the photographers' pit at Julien Macdonald when her late arrival held up proceedings for over an hour. "The photographers are fed up with her," admitted one snapper. An hour's delay before the Gharani Strok show on Monday was also blamed on Naomi. "I think [she] probably woke up and decided she wasn't in the mood to do it," co-designer Nargess Gharani told IRISHEXAMINER.COM. "By the time her agent had talked her into coming, everyone had been waiting for her for ages. We were almost at the point of going ahead without her. I was thinking to myself that she just wasn't worth the hassle." (February 18 2005, AM)

she considered walking out of julien macdonald but he managed to persuade her to stay

I'm not sure where I read it, or if it is even true, but apparently she held up Estaban Cortazar's Spring 2005 show...It had something to do with not wanting to do the show anymore, but she was already at the tents...

it's amazing Noami is still demanding such salaries and treatments as if she's the cat's meow, who does she think she is, Kate Moss?

Diane Sawyer showed her the shirt in the interview and she acted like she had never seen it! Maybe she wore the shirt after the pre-taped interview, but I know for sure it was taped after fashion week because Diane Sawyer mentioned something about "have you seen the shirt that was all over fashion week"

Here's what I was looking for...

Hell hath no fury as Naomi Campbell scorned
Asian News International
New York, September 13
Supermodel Naomi Campbell diva like ways have returned to haunt folks backstage.

According to the New York Daily News, at the recent Esteban Cortazar show in Bryant Park, Campbell first refused to change clothes in the same room as other models, insisting on a separate dressing room, refused to walk down the ramp despite pleas from the designer, and also threw a tantrum over her makeup job.

And the Rosa Cha swimsuit show that took place the next day, Campbell tongue-lashed a producer who reportedly told her entourage to stay out of the way of the other models by saying "I can make sure you'll never work at another fashion show again!".

"Naomi really looks great. She was probably the only model at Rosa Cha over 21, and she looked every bit as good as them. It's too bad she's so ugly on the inside" the New York Daily News quoted the insider as saying.
