How Much Water Do You Drink Per Day?

One of my New Year resolutions this year is to lay off the Pepsi and drink more water. My kidneys will be so grateful.
i just have to agree.. i need to stop drinking sodas. i mean, Coke has given me tons of zits already... Model Mom, thanks for the idea (for my resolution)

I love Pellegrino!!!
Usually though I drink from those large grocery-store brand water containers that my parents get. They always get into fights because my mom is so anal about not drinking tap water and then my dad will just use tap water to cook or make tea. They even made tea separately for a while. When I'm at school, I usually have Poland Spring.

This morning it was lovely weather, so I decided to walk to the library since I need the exercise, and it was hotter than I realised and since it's 15-20 min walk(one way) I went into a store to buy a bottle of water cause I didn't wanna faint in the street and they only sold Fiji! Weird, cause I'd never seen it before! Tasted like tap water, I'll never buy it again unless I am desperate! I guess we all have different tastes, and even water is not exempt for criticism!

I used to live on the mountain where we had well water. It was the best water I've ever had and I CANNOT drink tap water now. It's so disgusting. I don't even like bottled water as much as the well water. :(

Hey!

I was wondering how much water does everyone drink per day. As for me, I drink so much water - more then 2L per day easily! I don't drink soda (pepsi, fanta, coke, sprite...) or juice (unless it's fresh squeezed!).

Also I heard that those who drink a lot of water or enough water per day reduce chances of getting a head ache and acne, is that true? In my cake, I don't have acne and not too many head aches....

I drink a lot of water, definately more than 2l per day.I don't know about the acne thing, but what I know, and what woman in the beauty salon told me that really is true that drinking lot of water makes celulite go away,of course, with exercises and healthy food.

I probably drink around the amount people say one should drink (8 cups), even though the amount actually needed varies from person to person. I wouldn't know the exact amount since I've only kept track of that when I was studying nutrition and I had to keep track of what food I was eating and what I was drinking either during just one day or several for class assignments. I probably have a little less during colder days but I really need a decent amount when the weather's warmer, especially since I feel dehydrated easily.

Mainly when ever I am thirsty. Your body is mainly water and water helps remove toxins, so staying hydrated does the body good. Also, you are better off getting a decent filtration system and bringing your own water. Soft plastic will leach polymers into the water

I probably drink 2L of water, and another 2L in tea/coffee/juices. I have had acne, and still have bad skin,so I don't believe that water will reduce the chances. I do however have incredibly healthy and soft skin.

Ahhh - I meant to say "in my case" :woot:

I just drank that 1L in maybe like 40 minutes or so... The head ache myth came from my Doctor which was like maybe 6-7 years ago. Anyways - here's an interesting story that's happened to me.

When I was in Dubai during Ramadan (a whole month of fasting) during this month you are not allowed to eat in public or drink or even chew gum - if caught you can go to jail. So - I decided to follow the law (cause the year before I had a warning from the Police) so anyways I ended up in the hospital for a kidney stone from dehydration! I only drank water when I woke up (at home) and when I left work at 7pm. I worked for a month from 9-7pm without water, after I got out the hospital I said screw the law and did as I pleased!

Crazy stuff uh?

PumaTalk kindly do a seach prior to starting a thread - a thread - infact one with an identical name already existed.
Thats' funny - I did a search and didn't find anything. Either way it's no biggie.

usually i drink 500-600 ml at school (that is, whole morning), at lunch +250ml, afternoon about none, and at night pre-bed time i drink another 500ml.
that would be around 1l 250ml. and i'm not active, if i do some exercise i drink probably +1l.

Well then I suggest you read the thread that I posted.. because the link to the existing thread was easy to find, so clearly you must not have used the search function the way it's supposed to be used.

Did you tick of 'search titles only' ? Did you search for 'water' ?

about 2l per day i think, more when i exercise.
and only tap water, but when i lived in england i only drank bottled water because the tap water was so bad i couldn't even boil tea that tasted good.

I do drink a fair share of water. But not as much as I should.
