How Much Water Do You Drink Per Day?

 Woah oh oh, I drink around 3L per day and I thought that was heaps!

I used to not need to drink this much water, but over a few weeks I started drinking more and more water each day and now I get thirsty sooner.

My skin has always been very clear and I didn't notice a difference, but I do think that by drinking water regularly and getting enough sleep contributes to having clearer skin.

That is a lot. Although it's pretty rare to die of water intoxication, that mainly seems to happen in drug related cases or when water is consumed in a short amount of time. I'm sure drinking 3l throughout the day at a paced rate is completely fine but not really necessary and could have an adverse affect on your bladder and kidneys..

I drink about 1L bottle with Waterbooster by Dr.Brandt, and a few cups of tea

Btw... It has never been proven scientifically that drinking lots of water does anything to your skin. But it does make you feel full and may prevent you from eating too much sugary stuff. Sugar is bad for the skin, it ages it prematurely.

Question: Does drinking 8 glasses of water a day keep my skin moist?
Answer: No. Despite years of having this drummed into our heads, this is not true. It is good to keep your body, including your skin, hydrated, however the outermost layer of skin does not absorb water since it is made up of dead skin cells. Moisture level of skin is not determined by internal factors, but rather external ones, such as cold or hot air, dry heat and by the number of oil-producing glands you have. So if you want to hydrate your skin, exfoliate it weekly with a sea-salt scrub or other exfoliator to remove dead skin then apply a rich moisturizer while skin is still damp. Want to hydrate your insides then by all means, drink your 8 glasses of water a day.

Found that on about.beauty.com
Still, no excuse to not drink your 8 cups of water!

I have a hard time drinking 2 l of water a day. If I would not consciously try to drink a lot I would only drink 0.5 - 1.5 l

I think not enough but too much is also not very healthy either...

I don't drink enough water at all! I've been working on it recently though, now reading this thread has made me thirsty! *off to have a glass of water*

i drink about 2.5-3 liters a day...if i don't drink that much a day i feel really dehydrated

When your mouth and tongue feel really dry, is that a mild sign that you need water?

If your mouth is dry it means you're dehydrated.
Other ways of knowing are if you feel fatigued, tired, groggy midway through the day, pay attention to that, and add more water until you feel more clear, and your energy really will come back within 20-30 minutes.
You need water to boost your digestive system as well. I drink only water and grape juice. No alcohol, no sodas with artificial sweeteners, I like to know what is in my body and you dont know with those. Scary.

what kind of grape juice do you drink? I thought juices contained much sugar, no?

Lately, about 4-5 litres a day. I don't know exactly why and I'm pretty sure it's not healthy but I can't help it - I'm always thirsty. I feel like a jellyfish right now. :ninja:

That is very very unhealthy. Too much of anything isn't good for the body.

 That's a lot.

How much do you need to drink to get water poisoning?

I just try to get my eight glasses a day (usually from water and chamomile tea)
