I Am A Mom That Needs A Large Designer Bag

hi, I am new and LOVE that this is dedicated to handbags!!! I am looking for a bag under a 1000 that is large enough to carry my items plus room for a toddler's items. Right now I am using the LV multiple cite(sp?). The problem is, it is like using luggage for a bag. I have had the stella by MJ and it is so heavy. I was thinking about the Luella open tote. I wanted something different with more color than the monogram Gucci or LV. I am not sure if a pink or purple Luella would be practical? Anyone have any suggestions of something that is a classic that is a little funky? Thanks!

i think each would look best if you had a little special bag to carry your person effects in (a small chain strapped gucci or lanvin in white might look good set off against each)

Saw a big Balenciaga tote in Harvey Nichols that looked quite roomy. Very lightweight leather too.

My LV is a sholder bag, but the bag itself is so heavy. I just purchased the luella long giselle tote. What does everyone think about it? I chose black. The sales person was trying to talk me into the lilac, I just wasn't sure how practical it was? I have never seen the long giselle tote, I was kind of skeptical....I am not sure?
