i-D August 2007 : Daisy Lowe and Will Blondelle by Terry Richardson

I LOVE the cover, but get terribly bored by young hip things that tend to have nothing of note to rest on (I've always preferred 'interesting' over 'pretty') and so many of these young things, see Daisy, are terribly boring, really. But go Terry anyway, I love the concept.

Not a mad fan of Terry, but the cover is original. I do believe Daisy is walking into these jobs due to her background, but then again, the real waste would be if she didn't make the most of her opportunities, and just sat at home doing nothing. Can't blame her for making the most of what she's given. She has a certain charm, and as long as she's not everywhere, I can tolerate a bit of her.

about daisy from radar magazine:

'She's the next Sienna Miller, crows her agent. Steven Klein is obsessed with her. And, to top it all off, she's Bush frontman Gavin "Mr. Stefani" Rossdale's love child (with the DNA tests to prove it). Meet Daisy Lowe, the 17-year-old British model and socialite you're about to get really, really sick of.
Here's everything you need to know, before she reaches total fashion-world saturation:
• The S Word. She posed for Steven Klein in Italian Vogue last fall wearing a "Carrie necklace" that spelled out "Socialite." SocialiteRank shuddered.
• Mini Moss. Daisy modeled for lingerie emporium Agent Provocateur at 15 and was apparently pissed when Kate Moss (a friend of her mother's, for God's sake) posed for the label.
• W and Jane caught on this month. She's featured in Klein's pictorial "Xurbia" passed out on a floor and vomiting Froot Loops. Jane paired her with heiress Lydia Hearst and assaulted her with way too much white eye makeup.
• Mom is indie-hot. Pearl Lowe is a fashion designer and the former lead singer of Powder. In an Elle profile last summer, mom and daughter frolicked around their country house in Hampshire being adorable and weird. As a cred-builder for Daisy, Pearl's got an addiction memoir titled All That Glitters in the works. It apparently will omit accounts of her alleged "wife swapping" with friends Jude Law and Sadie Frost.'

Ugh, I'm already sick of her. I think the cover if beautiful, but why couldn't it be two other people. This is why I like models on covers because when it's celebrities it just can't be a beautiful image, it has to be the celeb and their personality and the such. blah. And was she really in an editorial call "xurbia"? Looks like Steven Klein is a Radiohead fan.

anyway, I'm looking forward to the ed w/ Clement

Heather Marks has an editorial with a male model in this issue called "My Princess" You can see a preview on the site. Clement's ed is also previewed there. :)

that exposed gurl in a preview of vandeperre edit is supposedly LARA STONE righty?

...based on the boobs :zorro:
