It was 1985 or 86 I believe I will find the exact date and post it. She said she was in a cab and was crashed into and the whole side of her face was just crushed
!

Alright, I have some more things so I can scan of Iman,Brandi,etc tonight. I might just buy that Elle however, I have to check my Naomi collection to see if I have her photos as well, if not than I'm going after that mag!
First, want to say thanks for all the fab vintage scans! Great collection, OMIFAN9! On a sidenote, that '79 pic of her in German Vogue as a young woman is slightly eery bc it reminded me of several Somaali girls I know.
Perhaps it's just me but I see how the accident has altered her facial structure. She just doesn't look quite the same facially speaking as she did in the candids of her in the late 70s/early 80s. Nonetheless she's aged remarkably well. I still can't believe she's 50!
I have to say I like most of her editorials but her various pregnant poses are my least favourite of hers, I find them cringeworthy and perhaps it's prudish, but c'est la vie.

I thumbed through her book "the Color of Beauty" or whatever today at the bookstore. It was expensive so I couldn't purchase it, but I plan to when I get some money. It not only features some great pics of Iman, but some of other young models like Liya, Oluchi, Tyra, Naomi, Kiara, Ling, etc, and some celebrities.
