.....

Any interview about stylists this time? Last issue's interview with Panos was amazing...

BTW Congrats to BerlinRocks!!!!:flower::woot:

I read through the whole thread but I don't think I saw anyone posting when this issue will be out? I'm very curious about the TFS article as well!

Does anybody recognize the coat Marc is wearing? It's really a beautiful one and I love how it's styled.

Drag itself is not a new concept, obviously, but I don't really think this falls in the traditional category of drag. Marc has made a career out of having a particular vision regarding women, creating his own woman- to me, this is Marc Jacobs embodying the woman that he has created. There's usually a disconnect between male designers and their work, I think, and this cover is kind of destroying that space in a way.

Thank you for your eloquent comment. I, too, think that this image does not entirely fit into the category of drag and, while not shocking, the concept behind the image is actually quite new to me. I've seen other male designers wearing their designs for women (ie. Galliano) but because Marc Jacobs' clothing is a closet staple, seeing him in his designs is more arresting than seeing an eccentric designer in an eccentric outfit. Marc may be an eccentric himself but the Marc Jacobs brand is not, so it feels like someone finally managed to bring fashion royalty to the street in a way that actually challenges the reader (and hopefully challenged the designer himself).

I asked my newsasgent when he'd be getting this in today and he got more than a little worked up! Apparently he's been asked an awful, awful lot..

I find myself itching to read the tFS article.

when does / did this exactly come out? I've asked about the mag around here and people have been looking at me as if i asked for the moon.

^ :lol: It's only their second issue, that's why not many people know it. I'm not sure if it's officially been released yet.

i love sigrid's! not seen anything i've loved from her for a while either

hah, I got the same look when asking for Vogue Turkey..
seriously though, when is this coming out? or is it out already? has anyone seen it in NY?.

It's a British publication, right? I've hunted for it here in London and found it no-where. The guy I usually go to said he's been inundated with people asking about it, but he didn't have it and had so far had no word about when he would.

I saw it available at Colette (France) for about 4 days ago

Yes, it's British. Selfridges have it. Good old Selfridges, picked up a copy today.

I spent the last few weeks in New York asking every single store that stocked fashion magazines when they would have it in the answer was always "next week", but then no one ever got it in! :rolleyes:

^ hautechild, can you tell anything about tFS article? :)
