I really like yellow and gold eyeshadow but I can never find it anywhere.
Does anyone have recomendations of a brand or place to buy it?
Thanks! :flower:

go into sephora and look around. you' ll find many brands you like.
but, for gold/yellow? mine are from MAC. i like what they have. they also have nice pigments in that. which allows you to do light or bright makeup.

thanks for posting those hanne
the airbrush makeup really gives some fab effects w/stencils . .!

I'm so glad we have this thread since I'm looking to do something interesting for NYE makeup (I'm going to the Lost Vagueness thing here in London....don't know if anyone else has heard of it but it has a prince and pauper theme. I'll be a pauper). The stencils are really interesting. I wonder if you could get the same effect by taking lace and using eyeshadow and a brush? I guess the only concern would be smudging but you could probably 'seal' the makeup somehow....hmm....

yes meg tape the lace onto your face
imo lace doesn't work so well . . use paper doilies!
load a brush w/eye shadow . . wet if you want an intense colour & pack it on . . .
use a larger powder/blush brush to take of any excess . . peel off the stencil
seal w/benefit shelaq . . generally if you really pack on the pigment it won't move!
but as you'll prob be getting hot & sweaty . . seal it for safety!
*lost vagueness always sounds amazing!
they were at lovebox i think?

I don't know - i haven't been to any of their events before but I think this will be great. Or at least I hope! Thanks for the tip. I was thinking that eyelash/surgical glue might work as well.....hmm may pick up some benefit shelaq today though. Thanks for the paper doilies tip as well! I'm not sure where the lace/doilie placement should go on my face though....hmmm....fun! I wish I was better at makeup though so that I could do something really fun.

thanks for the tips chanel - you totally rock. I'm going for a sort of 'fallen woman' look. lots of lace and heavy interesting makeup. big hair. as big of a skirt as possible but sort of shredded. I have this clements reibeiro apron dress from a couple years back and it's black chiffon and beaded (completely open back so you have to wear something underneath) with strips of fraying chiffon all down the front that i'd like to use somehow....

Alright I picked up the shelaq from Benefit so I will experiment tonight with it hopefully. It will be good to use on my eyes as well so that everything stays in place. Thanks for the tip chanel
