yeah. it was pretty much like that here as well.

but i didnt like his stuff you know...:ninja: . i guess i just need a break from the 80s for a while.

Maybe, although I was taken by suprise because I saw RJD2 perform in the same space, and it was actually TERRIBLE - like even the staff was like "what is this?"

So i might just be holding him in high regard due to who else i've seen there

the livejournal thing seems true but who knows
i wish paul all the best

Daniel's gf is too cute. Jenny Penny annoys me. ^_^

I want to see a pic of Dan's gf!:p

My favorite song is Specialist.. I love the riff at the end. It sounds so sad and beautiful at the same time. I also love Untitled

Update on the band Interpol who are in the studio recording a follow up to the album Antics.

Hello everyone. Seeing that the website has lain furlough for a while, we felt that we owed you an update. And we’d imagine that in the absence of official emissions misinformation is rampant. So here it is:
Things are good. Gettin’ some rest… gettin’ some sun.
We did break up – four times - but that’s all behind us now.
Carlos got a dog. His name is Gaius. Italian greyhound – looks like Carlos.
Also, I think I’m moving to Jersey City; because that’s where the action is really at.
Whoever the people on MySpace are, they’re not us.
In all seriousness, we’re hard at work on the writing of album three. We’ve been at it for six months - in case you heard we were on hiatus. We’re all very excited about it and think that you will be too. Having yet to record, we can only say that Release will come sometime next year.
As far as the website, check back for further developments and updates. And thanks for standing by. We have you all in our hearts and little pulsating musical minds.
We can’t offer much of a preview at present, but I can tell you we’ve got one gem in the works entitled “The Heinrich Maneuver.” And another that was called “Pawn Shop.” But that’s called something else now.
Thank you for being with us. And we truly look forward to sharing with you our newest.

I go away to nowhere, Minnesotta for 10 days and miss news of an Interpol come-back? Ugh!

What does "I" am moving to Jersey City mean. Is I interpol as a whole? Does that mean I can't stalk the band when I go to new york in a couple of days?!? (kidding)

Anyway, I'm glad they're working on a new CD. That's good news for me.

^ I think the "I" in moving to Jersey is Paul saying it, not the band as a whole

But he says he's thinking about it so there's still a chance of stalking ;)

WTF??

^ I think its the dress that makes her look a little... "fuller" but I doubt she is pregnet.

I can't wait until their new cd comes out. They always impress me.

Umm...which one is she in that picture??? Sorry, I don't really follow
the gossip thing with this band, but I love their music....

INTERPOL SIGNS WITH CAPITOL

Indie Stalwart Inks with Tower After Fierce Bidding War

Andy Slater is making Capitol... in a major way.

The label capped a pretty good couple of months by inking coveted N.Y. indie-rockers Interpol, one of the most sought-after groups for the last few years.

Interpol's two previous albums, 2002's Turn on the Bright Lights and 2004's Antics, both on leading independent Matador, marked them as one of the most promising groups on the scene, selling almost a million in the U.S. alone, with the former at 438K and the latter at 435K in domestic sales.

The group is now part of highly regarded Dave Holmes' prestigious client roster, which includes Coldplay, who have experienced a great deal of success with Slater and Capitol. That band's last album, X&Y, has sold almost 3 million in the U.S.

The band was the object of eager major-label attention for some time now. Interscope's Mark Williams was one exec considered to have the inside edge, but it's Slater and A&R exec Ron Laffitte who nab the rights to the coveted group for the Tower.
