I still haven't listened to "Our Love To Admire."
I'm pretty much convinced it's going to suck considering they're with Capital now.
Plus, I'm kind of over Interpol now. I'll always love TOTBL but Interpol seems so similar to so band other bands... the Editors, etc... and very commercial...I mean, I saw Paul on LoveLine with Dr. Drew for christsakes...

But there are favourites! ...well on OLTA, Pace is the Trick.
But cutxpaste, them being on a major label shouldn't stop you from listening to their album. You listed to their other two, there's no reason not to listen to the latest.

I saw them live awhile ago. Awesome style, great show ... but I couldn't resist feeling like all of their songs sounded exactly the same.

OLTA is way better than Antics in my opinion. I know Paul was going through a tough time during it so Antics always seemed more distant. I didn't warm to OLTA immediately but ended up loving it nearly as much as TOTBL..and of course seeing it live made it even better

I like Antics, it's a good album, but I don't relate to it and the lyrics as much as I do OLTA and TOBL. TOBL is easily my favourite of their albums, but I really think OLTA is a return to form, I listen to Wrecking Ball and The Lighthouse as I drift off to sleep, I find Paul's voice really calming for some reason.

Oh, and for anyone who hasn't heard Specialist I can't reccomend it highly enough, it's such an amazing song, the best show case of Carlos's bass skills, I think.

when i saw them i was sooo disappointed that they didnt play 'Leif' i was waitin for it...its my fave song!

I saw them in Dublin and they played 'Leif erikson', was brilliant! and they played 'untitled' too which is my favourite.

TOTBL beats OLTA and antics!

Oh, and for anyone who hasn't heard Specialist I can't reccomend it highly enough, it's such an amazing song, the best show case of Carlos's bass skills, I think.

'Specialist' was actually the very first Interpol song i heard...and it made me fall in love with them...

hmm.. they were in the show when promoting TOTBL in 2003.. . it's been YEARS since I listened to loveline but they weren't so bad with picking guests back in the day... last time I checked though, Stryker [] became a host there so I guess it's all very changed now...

but yeah.. I agree with what you said on their latest album.. even Antics.. I haven't listened to Antics from start to finish since.. 2005.. I know this because I lost it when I moved back home.. and never cared to get it back.

and out of olta my favourites are pace is the trick, pioneer to the falls and rest my chemistry.
