Interpol

I love this album.

It really comes across well live.

I dont feel the desire to listen to this record. I was into them for the last two records, but my interest in them has pretty much completely dissolved and I dont see it coming back with much force :(

I felt this way at first, then I forced myself to listen to it, and now I love it! Keep trying!

scblonndie, you won't be dissapointed. Their music is amazing live, especially NYC. It's incredible seeing them live, Paul seems to be put so much emotion into every single line, and Carlos D just struts about. I'll be seeing them again next month.
Meanwhile, some very sweet new Paul pictures:

There is an 8 page feature on Interpol in SPIN's August issue with photos shot by Greg Kadel. They are also on the cover.

I'll take pics of it tomorrow if its not up online anywhere.

wow, the SPIN pics are very nice! thanks for posting!

I love Paul's posing, and the picture of him dropping the cigarette. Greg Kadel + Interpol = Perfection.

I saw them a week or so ago at Virgin Festival in Baltimore. Sunday's lineup was so amazing that I convinced my friends to wake up little earlier and somehow we were able to be the first one's to the main stage fence (where we stood for 10 hours of fing amazing music CSS, Regina Spektor, Spoon, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Interpol, and The Smashing Pumpkins). I guess I'll post Interpol pictures later. They really blew us away though, they're amazing live.

And we we were close enough to the stage to where we could see Nick Zinner watching them from the side stage. :)

Oh, and on another note Paul Banks must have spent the last few years in the gym. He looks ahhh-mazing.

Paul is absolutely disarming...

Besides all that, the new album, like Antics, isn't sublime. I do appreciate Paul's introspection and moments of vulnerability this time around, though. Can't stop playing Rest My Chemistry, Lighthouse, Pace is the trick, The Scale, Pioneer to the Falls, & No I in Threesome. Everything else could'v been omitted, as far as I'm concerned.
