Interview December 2015 : Kylie Jenner by Steven Klein

Rianne's edit is really good!! Very US Vogue, with a bit of edge, and ultimately it is quite refreshing for Interview.
I'm already groaning at the thought of Julia Nobis as Bowie, they book her too much, but that's all Templer's doing.

Hey guys I just subscribed to Interview a couple of weeks ago (right after Black Friday via mail). Does their subscription still having issues from a couple years ago or does it take a long time for the first issue to come to your house.

^It usually takes more than a month for any magazine to arrive. You will find on this forum many people complaining about how slow Interview is to arrive in the mail, and how slow they are to post their covers online. Last I knew their customer service on their website was really lacking, like no account to log in to. You have to call.

There are 168 pages in this issue. Rianne's edit is the only major fashion edit. In the middle of the issue accompanying a short article about Hiller Bartley, there are two photos of Julia Nobis. I also spotted Drake Burnette as a cop (fashion police?). A spread/collage of Alice Metza by Gregory Harris. That's it for models in this issue.

That Templer edit is a mess. All I see is shadowy wrinkly ill-fitting garments on a girl who has no idea how to move her body in a way that showcase the clothes. And that deranged tacky mess of a hair style. She looks like a fashion victim!

Compare that to their inspiration: the Kate Moss Versace campaign in which the actual styling is kept to a minimum highlighting the construction and cut of the garments. if you look at the campaign shot posted by GivenchyHomme. Kate strategically reveals the beautiful lace detailing on the gown. Rianne looks like she's struggling to not be drowned out by the bulldog like ripples. The effect to me is the opposite of the slinky, body-gliding allure of such bedroom inspired attire.

Can somebody post the Vaughn Oliver interview? I flipped through the issue briefly and this looked to be an interesting if not done to death topic, at least in the design world. Hopefully the author offers some new insight. Fashion publications doing features on design related personalities often read like Wikipedia excerpts.

Thank you T-Rex!
