The photo of Azealia is one of the most disgusting things I've seen in a very long time.
This new take on sex and eroticism is devoid of any sensibility. There is no mystery or allure - just straight in your face vulgar.

if you don’t like her or aren’t familiar with her that’s certainly fair enough, but your personal lack of familiarity certainly doesn’t actually indicate she’s not excelling. I just checked and her album, which came out months ago, is still #2 in North America, she’s had over a dozen songs chart in the top 100, including a #1 hit. Her music is legitimately all over.

Like nearly all female pop stars with a strong industry push, her image seems too tied to sexuality in a misogyny-dressed-as-feminist-empowerment way. But she has genuine personality and comes across as a likable, odd person with serious talent as a singer and entertainer (I’ve seen some great live performances of hers) who harnessed the power of meme culture and TikTok to help put herself on the map before the industry machine took over. I don’t think Rita Ora is a fair comparison.

Not at all, dear! But we cannot hide the fact that being openly sexual and vulgar are NOT tied together. Samatha in SATC? That was openly sexual, yet tasteful, an icon. Madonna with her t*ts out...Everywhere? That is still openly sexual, and she is known for it. But Doja and Azealia both look like cheap hookers that weren't paid for their jobs, so now they are going desperate.
Sex work is hard work. Yet sex work can be expensive, not necessarily chic, yet not shameful and somehow classy. Even Cicciolina - so p*rn-y and tacky, yet somehow fashionable and iconic, her image is so tied-in with everything! Here it is just an attempt at shock value and buzz, but it is 2021, and we've went through OnlyFans, PornHub, zillions of leaked nudes and c*ck pics of famous people, so... It only comes as disgusting, not liberating.

Yes, that's all very true. I guess it is all a matter of personal taste really, I personally don't (usually) find blatant vulgarity offensive or disgusting, so the images here work for me (especially knowing both Doja and Azealia's music - I mean, Azealia's latest single is literally titled f*ck Him All Night, and it's a bop quite frankly lol)

If you have a problem with black women being sexual but not white women, you can just say that.
