Hi Guys

Just got my YSL Muse from Jacky. Here are the pics. Question, is this bag supposed to stand up on its own? It definitely doesn't. I have it stuffed to the gills in the pictures. Handles can go over the shoulders but I wouldn't call it a shoulder bag since it's a squeeze.

Love your vintage jumbo! Would you post a mod please? WOuld you consider this bag a good size for dinner or drinks? I have my jumbo vintage XL which I feel is definitely too bag for that purpose.

lol I'm no help then, IvyStar. I wear my vintage lambskin jumbo XL to dinner and drinks all the time =\ in fact, the first time I wore it out was to drinks and dinner at Koi in LA, then cocktails at The Comedy Store afterwards...and brunch the next day. In other words, I wore the **** out of it lol. But yes, sure, I think the 12" jumbo can definitely work for dinner and drinks

How's the hardware on the muse? Rings, zips etc. Are they solid and believable? It looks pretty good in the pics and you wear it well!

Hi. Yes, I wanted a good black work tote also. I have J's Chanel Vintage shopping tote which I LOVE but wanted something with closure also. The Muse hardware is good. The zipper pulls could be a little better and there is a space that you can see on the side O rings where the ring comes together but I looked at some authentic ones on Ebay and they look the same although a teeny bit more refined than J's but not a deal breaker. The zipper is good. The front piece of hardware where the lock is feels really sturdy and heavy. Bag definitely doesn't stand up but doesn't puddle as badly after I stuffed it to regain some shape. All in all I like the bag. My main worry was the O rings but I believe the authentic are the same with the space. I can take a pic if you'd like.

black bayswater imo. its a great size and mulberry is one of the few lines j gets consistantly right.

This is true. I have been consistently happy with my Muls from J. I'd buy more Alexas in different colors if he would make them again. Unfortunately, Bayswater is not my style at all.

Concerns like these irk me. I understand wanting the thimbles to be spot on, the zippers, the handles, the leather of course -- stuff people actually see. But honestly, who would ever be looking at the underside of the screws that secure the base of the handle thimble's hardware together? If you're carrying it in hand, on shoulder, or crook of arm, when (and more importantly, why) would anyone be down there, up close, looking at that kind of detail? To me, the only reason to be concerned with details like rivets, or authentication cards, serial numbers, etc, is because one intends to sell the bag as authentic...and that's just not cool. If you're just buying the rep to wear cuz you love the brand or the amazing leather, authentication details shouldnt matter to you. Relax and don't sweat the small stuff nobody will ever see -- like the backs of screws

I see your point on the screws. I guess I just want it to be perfect and didn't want someone to call me out that I have to fake bag, ya know.
I guess deep down, I will know that it's off or something.
It's like an OCD thing.

For some reason I am having the hardest time buying from fang through aliexpress. Did anyone buy through aliexpress for fang before? The bank keeps declining the transaction even if i try to pay through moneybookers...

Btw ladies love, love, LOVE the bag photos! The jumbo chanel looks really good, nice structure and stitching. Amethyst love your photos as usual. You should be a photographer!!

IMO a lot of catty's hermes is more lower end. to get a good one with the right stitching/leather you've got to go to taobao.
