T&D can only order the RGGH zippers in Black as that is the only colour they can sell 100 bags of. I don't know if it's 100 zips in a certain length either which would reduce options even more to just a City, Work, Day etc..? (they all have different length zippers right?)

I absolutely would have LOVED an Anthra RGGH bag. My top banana HG right now! But I don't think they would have enough of us to make and sell 100 Anthra bags in the same style. I don't think they would even have that much Anthra leather to do a run that large. Where as Black is the only colour they run throughout the year.

It's just a pity that the minimum order is 100. Gutted Who knows? Maybe the supplier will reconsider in the future.... Hope so!

I've been really considering getting a mulberry alexa, and i was thinking about getting one from catty/lfs. has anyone bought a alexa from her? If so, how's the quality?

I see that the alexas people have bought are from jacky. I seem to have lost the link to his site and it would be wonderful if someone could pm it to me.

For the fraying snakes on the alexa, I would use a clear superbly under the most noticeable spots... can't think of anything else sorry!

The apple guard leather conditioner + stuffing with a towl seems to have helped, but its still there. I'm bummed because I really want a taupe or gris bag too for fall. But as my first replica bag I have to say I might never go back to real again. I'll try to post a pic, but the leather isn't smooth anyways, so it might not show up that well.

For the snakeskin, that's too bad! I was thinking of a snakeskin alexa but now I don't know. Maybe condition first then cover with nailpolish or a glue?

Btw Catty has a bunch of the LV groom items up -- so cute. Anyone gotten one of those from her? I'm thinking of ordering a black mahina wallet, groom agenda, and red key holder. Are Catty's miu miu bow bags nice? Those are bags I've always really liked too. I really want something sort of grey-beige for fall - I just don't think I can wear a L mahina in elephant even if I find one.

Now to consider how many items I can get away with and still pull it off as "authentic." Then again with the money I'm saving on authentic bags I can certainly buy some nicer clothes.

I received my vd ggh city and it is gorgeous!! The leather is a bit dry and slightly cracked but still quite soft but it doesn't matter cuz the vd+ggh is such a classy beauty!

ps. my dreams of bdr+rggh is now crushed good thing my vd arrived in time to cheer me up! I'm not getting black either. It probably won't work but I'm gonna try and email t&d begging for bdr+rggh to be made. And it doesn't look like they are going to sell 100 black rggh cities - from what I read no one wants black.

Arisaa, congrats on yr VD City GGH, you mentioned it's a bit dry? It's weird cos my newly arrived Day GGH VD is not dry at all...

Girls i was also thinking in BdR RGGH but a black Bal is almost needed in a Bal collection isn't? I'm so confuse...This is what they sent to show how perfect the new RGGH zippers are compared to the left first zipper sample they've got from NYC, which indeed they look the same. Left z RGGH right GGH on black leather. After all i'm re considering...

The only black Bal I ever wanted was a RH First....

But

I'm thinking of getting a black PT w RGGH. Looking for a bag with a handle I can carry the handle over my shoulder.....if not a PT, then a Black RGGH City.

The RGGH is calling me - was up last night on the other forum looking at Bal styles w RGGH. It is so much more my style than the bling of GGH or SGH.

Will wait & see pics of NBF's thimbles.

The extra $41 for RGGH is not a turn off for me - it actually makes me want a bag more. If the reason for thr extra $$ is the cost of genuine gold, perhaps the RGGH is a more accurate match to auth Bals?

for me, $41 is worth it for me, if it means a more flawless Bal rep.

Coco- thank you for the advice on the Folk colors. I am not so into Bleu Roi - will wait & see how NBF's swatch looks, & what others say before even thinking about taking the plunge. my Office Twiggy leather is very tough (chewy) - I prefer the thinner VD or Galet NBF leather.

Otherwise I will wait for the next neutral color NBF offers that matches a color Bal is making the Folk in. The Folk bag looks perfect for that whole "70's Hans Feurer/French Vogue" vibe going on this fall - must look lovely on you!!!!!

Fingers crossed Jacky will make a Celine medium box Classic bag :-)

Don't get one from Cathy! I bought an oversize one from her a while back, maybe 3 months, but the proportions are all wrong, it's too wide by maybe 2 inches and it makes a huge difference. I've a black os alexa from Jacky and it beautiful I've just ordered an oak os too, hoping that'll be gorgeous

Scratch that actually the "cracks" in my vd ggh city are wrinkles from being stuffed and beaten on its way here. Now that the wrinkles are coming out the leather looks exactly like outremer just thinner.

Darn, I really wanted RGGH in Anthracite. I don't know if I can take a leap to Black, because T&D's black batches seem to be so inconsistent.

After looking at pics I want a black RGGH city. It is definitely a must in my collection since I LOVE my black city and I do not want a GGH or GSH black city. The only thing I'm concerned about is the black leather. It would have to match the authentic black leather with the RGGH. If the black leather isn't up to par I would consider buying an auth one since it is such a gorgeous combination.

PinkPrincess-honestly the leather is so dry that at this point I said who cares? so I bought some magenta shoe cream/polish and I have started to work that into the bag section by section then l'll let it dry for a few days to really soak into the cracked leather I will try apple conditioner on it as well hopefully it will work out this was my HG I was sooooo looking forward to this bag

A Galet Twiggy!

My first non pre-loved NBF is here! A cute galet twiggy. The photos are taken indoors in lowish light with an iPhone. Galet *is* difficult to capture. When I first got it, it looked more like argent, until I started moving it around the room. Soon after I started noticing the taupey undertones. I love it so much! *confetti*

Hey ladies!! Wearing my NBF Raisin First for the vert first time today. I pre-treated her with LMB For Handles Only, Shine Restore on the Corners, and 2 cycles of Egyptian Magic. The Egyptian Magic greatly helped to quench her thirst.

When putting my wallet & keys in (Jackys LV wallet & 5 kely holder) I noticed that the interior logo plate was tarnished....on my b berry, want to share pics

Has this happened to any of you ladies? The Bal logo plate inside your NBF First or City tarnishing or developing spots? Or anyone who has an auth Bal City or First? If so, how did you handle it?

I have never used this bag, & was careful not to get any LMB product or Egyptian Magic on my harware, or ropes or the logo plate......dissapointed its tarnished after owning it since feb, & never using it..........

Kimkhuu: T&D are sorting out the hardware for the folk bag. I expect the first one will be ready in mid August.
Also please look at my earlier posts. The Folk bag is not made in Olive or Bois de rose. T&D are making it in Anthracite,
Sorbet, Black and Blue Roi.
