I think i will give black with RGGH a miss. I prefer RGGH on lighter colours such as bois de rose. RGGH seems too dull for black. Just my opinion

Welcome PurseFreak!!!! I'm sorry, I'm clueless regarding reissues so I'm no help at all, but I think alignment is really important on Chanel flaps and I've heard great things about Catty's Chanels lately!

On the subject of Catty, I know lately she hasn't been so popular but I do want to say that I think she's a really great seller... Jacky is my go to because his prices are lower and I've never had a BAD bag from him (less than perfect, yes, but not awful). Catty however, has always been very helpful in resolving any issues with bags and the vast majority of my orders from her have been very satisfactory. I wouldn't be afraid to order from her. She doesn't charge a fee for Paypal and she gives free shipping for 3 bags or orders around $200+. I'm placing an order with her in the next few days!

For those with the nude Alexa, have you treated it with anything? I know Mulberry recommends Collonill Waterstop Spray but I read on tpf that any quality water repellant spray will work. I was going to treat it with Apple Garde aka Rain Spray bc it's such a light color and I'd hate for it to get stained but would love to get some feedback!

Has anyone ever bought Hermes accessories from Jacky? Are they any good? I'm thinking of getting Hermes' Collier de Chien bracelets from him, but am not sure of the quality. So far, I've only always purchased various bags from him. Thanks!

I'm happy to report the boys are making a new bag on a rush to replace the stained Galet RH Day that I received. They are truly the best when it comes to customer service. I didn't even have to pay the freight.

I think it helps that several of you sent them emails demanding your Galet bags be free of any trace of Sorbet!

^^ Don't! I just read on the Mulberry thread in TPF that the Waterstop Spray did NOT work. When the lady did a test, the rain/water left a stain on the plonge lambskin bag. The thread is titled, "a word of warning!" and found on Page 1 of the Mulberry thread in TPF.

Hi ladies,

a friend of mine bought this blue (im not sure what color it is, if someone knows please enlighten me!) work during her trip to China. And it looks really good to me! What do you think? The leather is lightly distressed, very close to my auth. The feel however, is kind of smooth.

shopaholic, zooey, crystal, sill: the '10 version of anthra is not a true dark grey (like plomb)...it definitely has some bluish undertones, but not as much as the '08 and '09 versions...

if you look at my pics, you can see the blue undertones when it's in natural light, but indoors, it looks like a dark grey...

have T&D said what styles they will be making in black RGGH?

Jacky Nude Neely

I have received the Jacky Mulberry Nude Neely. The bag is a great size. The color is not straight on nude. I don't know if you can see that in the photos. The color of the spony patent leather is kind of blush/peach in color. It looks really love with the Rose Gold Hardware. It is about the same size as the regular sized Alexa but feels larger as it does not have the buckle on the side.
I recommend this bag highly.

xooey: Thank you! After seeing your post I went and read the thread. I still think I will use the spray though because when her bag dried the spot was gone. She was concerned that the water didn't bead off the leather (like it does with her darwin leather bags) but plonge lambskin is very different than darwin leather (which is much stiffer) so I doubt any product would give the same result to plonge as to darwin...

babybluestar: The Mulberry Neely is between a regular sized Alexa and an Oversized Alexa. I went to the Mulberry store to see the Authentic Neely last week and it did look bigger than regular sized Alexa. I asked the sales rep about the size and she said that the Neely is the same size as regular sized Alexa, it's just that it looks bigger than regular Alexa as Alexa is cinched in with the buckles on the side. The actual measurements of Neely are 12.5" wide and 9.5" high. The width of Neely is 5.5" wide on the bottom, at the top she tapers in width to 2.5". I do love her and she looks so very chic when you carry her on the shoulder from the strap as well as by the hand. The rose gold hardware really compliments the blush/peach tones of the spongy patent leather.

Jacky said that he will make Neely in Steel and Tomato Red sometime in the future. I am not big on Red but I think that the Tomato red would look lovely with a camel coat in winter.

The spongy patent leather is patent leather r that Mulberry uses in some of it bags. It is soft and supple. It is a little bit soft so the Neely bag has a bit of structure with a little give.

Its from a random store, for about USD250. The bag actually reminds me of the bag from buyandsellmybags on ioffer, they have a blue one that looks exactly like this.

Orchidian: The leather used in Jacky's new nude Alexa is nude buffalo leather, it is the same type of leather used on the oak buffalo Alexa. The Neely is made of spongy patent leather. It is good quality patent and does not look like it would peel to me.

Omg ladies- I just received my order of LVs from Catty. I am definitely shocked.. my mom has an authentic epi leather and I have an auth damier speedy 30. The differences are so minor it's unbelievable. I mean of course you can tell if you examine all the details and look very very closely and touch both at the same time, but it's not as if I would stop and actually say "oh my gosh, that bag is fake!"

I am always surprised with Catty's stuff because her pictures make the bags look like plastic.. anyway here are some pics. The epi leather speedy is upstairs and I will take pics of that if anyone is interested later.

The damier azur speedy from catty- I thought it was a 25 at first because it collapses so easily. I had trouble getting it to stay up on its own. Compared to my speedy it does not retain its shape. You can see how it looks smaller because it does not stay up on its own. The handles are thicker and the stitching is not as tight/perfect. The hardware is more of a orange gold instead of yellow gold and the zipper is hard to open/not too straight.

as a result.. i don't think i'll use the azur.. maybe as a throw around bag. but the trevi, i love it and i'll def use her. i might give the epi leather speedy to my mom or use it later- it's a bit toooo structured for me.
