The new Chanel bags are relatively new in her album so I wasn't really surprised not to hearing anything yet.

I bought a light purple lambskin from her this summer and it was pretty good - the quilts were puffy and soft but of course there were differences from the auth (obviously). I actually love the beige patent leather too! Are you going to buy it??

What are the differences between Cattys purple lambskin Chanel & auth lambskin quilted Chanel?

Lateley I have been going thru a rough patch personally & trying times professionally ....I want to treat myself to something nice, the recent pics of Cattys rep lambskin Chanels looked gorgeous

Has anyone ever purchased a keepall from anyone? I'm really interested in buying one for my trip to South Korea. I would like to know if it can hold up well as far as weight. I did a search on it but I didn't get much at all.

I have one from catty (keepal 55) and all i can say is that it's spot on. The only problem is that the vachetta is hard to oxydate (i don't know if it's the good word!).

Yes i think i will buy it even if its very big ( it's a maxi) and if i think chanel didn't do this color in patent leather....

Hey peeps,
I have searched the thread looking for someone/anyone that has done or does a Chanel Grey Reissue (distressed lambskin) with Gunmetal Hardware.
Catty has an ace Black Reissue but not Grey.
J said he would consider making it but he also said he will have trouble in sourcing the distressed leather....

I am sure that I did accidentally find a pic on here of someone who had one. But for the life of me I can't find it again. Grrrr.

Blair - Sorry to hear you're going through rough times. Retail therapy always seems to be a good band-aid.

Firstly, the interior is not leather it's pleather. Catty does have a leather interior version but it's more expensive. She didn't tell me this I realized this after I received the bag. Secondly, the quilting alignment is off; I compared the alignment with countless auth bag pictures. It only bothers me (to a degree) as I realize it's a rep and Chanel quilted bags are impossibly difficult to replicate. Thirdly, the CC clasp is off. I ended up changing the one from Catty and replacing it with another extra I had from Jacky. It took quite a bit of work and elbow grease. I did end up slightly damaging the leather but it's only noticeable up close.

Honestly, the leather was so nicely quilted & puffy and the structure is neat and straight I was able to overlook the other issues. Overall, the general appearance is good and would pass muster without careful examination.

Meryll, it's a gorgeous bag. Chanel didn't make this color?? I saw a limited edition gold patent version on ebay. Catty's version is close enough for me.

Sorry, I think the limited edition is a jumbo not a maxi.

I was just looking at J's new bags and saw the darcy in tobacco the studs are gold maybe I am mistaken but wasn't it only made with silver studs? or was that just the rocco ? thanks

Jacky's looks to brown and the authentic looks quite a bit richer..more like a british tan...no pun intended If i go this weekend i will take a look IRL and report back...But the detailing HW + dimensions looks good from what i can see, it just might be the wrong shade of tan, which of course would be a big turn off. If this is the brown leather he intends on using for the luggage colored roccos..I don't think it will be as convincing as his black leather version..The authentics have quite an orange/tan undertone from what I have seen in real life. (maybe its his pics..but it does not look rich enough- (On the Barneys website the luggage color is very rich and orange undertoned IMO)

I just asked catty if the bags that i want have leather or pleather inside, she answered that they exist in both. but the price if very diferent from one to the other (more than a 100 $) . i don't what should i do.

Ack! I work at a university and the students here are very wealthy...I have to get used to seeing 20 year olds going to class with cabats, Bal works, and tons tons of neverfulls. I am very much checking purses out whenever I go out to get coffee or lunch. It's lovely. This morning, I saw a praline work. It was dirty, but it looked good.

meryll honestly if you get pleather inside of the chanel i wouldn't think it matters. it's inside and no one will inspect the inside of your chanel flap... unless your friends do? i have a white one from catty and have gotten numerous compliments and the inside is pleather. if you are going to spend an extra $100 for leather inside make sure it's worth it to you! you could get another bag for that price.
